Welcome to Historic Meets Hip, a stylish 1-bed, 1-bath basement retreat near Battery Park, just 5 minutes from downtown Richmond with a private entrance. Important Before Booking: This suite includes a kitchenette for light meal prep (microwave, mini fridge, sink, coffee maker) but does not have a stove/oven. Guests selecting the non-refundable discounted rate receive a reduced price and acknowledge the reservation is final; travel insurance is strongly recommended when selecting this option.

Our warmly decorated guest suite is attached to but fully separate from the main part of our home, with its own private entrance. The suite includes a spacious bedroom, large bathroom and separate living/sleeping area with a TV, mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, and Keurig. An adjacent laundry room is available for your use upon request (FOC). The small deck, patio and fully fenced yard are included for your exclusive use. Parking is available on the street right out front of our home.

Just 15 minutes to the heart of DC, this fun, safe area is a walker's paradise with plenty of local restaurants, shops, parks and bikepaths making it easy to plan your visit. "The Hideaway" offers Free Parking onsite and is renovated with new appliances and eclectic 1940s adventure decór. Please note, this is a private basement studio apartment in a single family home. We live upstairs with our pre-K son who you might hear in the mornings and evenings.

You get everything you see in the pictures, a private suite ready to welcome a last-minute reservation. If you need to check in early or check out late, the host will try to accommodate you when possible. A $70 extra fee applies for a guest who wants to use the second bedroom. It is currently used to keep bedding and linen. It remains locked. The host will always knock or text before entering the living room on the first floor.

Entry and exit is through the garage, so you'll have no daily interaction with the hosts unless so desired.
