Lovely, cozy little place in a nice, peaceful location with convenient walking access to Whitby via the Cinder Trail, and a very short drive from local Supermarket. We appreciated the pool. We also enjoyed ducks wandering around the site, and hearing the hoot of an owl in the evening.

Lovely house, parking right outside, nice quiet location, house clean and tidy with lots of little things like tea and coffee available. The furniture was comfortable and good Freesat tv. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and equipment you could need. The bedrooms were light, airy and comfortable with nice bed linen. The bathroom was adequate but the shower let it down slightly, although it was usable it was a bit tight for anyone tall. I can’t see how any improvement can be made as the bathroom is quite compact, this issue by no means detracts from the overall high standard of the house. Outside the house overlooks the river with nice lawns, a picnic bench and communal barbecue. Just over the river lies the railway line, you can hardly hear the trains but get to watch the steam trains going past. The road is a dead end with no passing traffic other than other residents so very quiet. All in all ‘top notch’.

Just returned from the bank holiday weekend at Phil’s cottage. There were 10 of us- all family. We had a super time. Phil was there to meet us and to show us around. Everything in the cottage was lovely - comfy beds , roomy bedrooms and excellent shower rooms. Easy to use central heating. Lovely big gardens for the children to run around with a ball. Phil was an exceptional host and provided a lovely welcome pack plus pizzas , beers and wine. The table was laid up beautifully to celebrate my son’s birthday and this was all very much appreciated by us all. Over above any welcome I’ve had anywhere else. Thank you Phil and Elaine. Wonderful stay .

Clean and well maintained property. It was such a quiet neighborhood, we almost felt we were the only ones around. Walk to the beach or to town was easy. Instructions from Cate were clear and prompt. We LOVED the instruction booklet provided on how to use everything including appliances and fireplace. Would suggest an additional note about how to lock the door :) as I had a bit of trouble at first before figuring it out. The only odd thing about this place is the main level bathroom, in particular the shower, it's not separate so water goes everywhere when using it, so we used the upstairs shower exclusively.

Stephen's house was immaculate - super clean, airy, fresh. The furniture was modern and cofortable, plenty of cleaning materials, and even that rarity in holiday lets, a good iron! He also provided a very welcome welcome pack. There's a nice back garden to the house that was quite a suntrap, with deckchairs provided. Even though the house is in a residential area and it was very warm and sunny when we were there, the area was quiet. As described, the house is wheelchair accessible, with a good downstairs shower room equipped with shower stool/chair. He put down a ramp into the back garden to help enjoy the good weather. Stephen also offered to provide other mobility aids, which was very thoughtful, even though we didn't need them. Stephen was a very good host. He helped us with advice on where to go for days out, and where to eat and drink. When we had a couple of questions about the house he was quick to respond/fix. Thank you!

We had a lovely weekend at Rebecca's place, beautiful home,really comfortable ,warm and cosy. Short drive to the lovely coastline.

Had a lovely stay at Roberts place. It was spotless throughout and had a really cozy modern feel. Really comfortable furniture and beds. Had everything we needed. Highly recommend. Cheers again Jonny

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and fantastically located cottage. Mitch was freindly and responsive, even given us prior warning of a potential power cut. The house was well equipped, warm and clean. I would recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved our New Year break at Curious Crab. The village is idyllic and the cottage was beautiful. We all felt relaxed and at home. Each room felt very special, the kids loved sleeping in the attic and the open fire was the icing on the cake. Rob was a brilliant host. Very responsive and helpful when needed.

Very relaxing place to stay, cosy, warm and comfortable, very quiet too. Lovely to see the horses around and about. The staircase up to the first floor bedroom is narrow but worth the climb as the bed was so comfortable.

Beautiful little seaside village, the house is full of character, comfortable and clean with everything you need. Communication with Emma was spot on throughout. The whole experience is definitely fully worthy of my 5 star review. Thank you Emma, we will be back.

Lovely location. Lots of character in the house. Very homely and everything we needed for the weekend was available. The only real downside was the fact it had single glazing so felt a bit nippy at times and not all the electric heaters were possible to turn on at your own leisure or at least it wasn’t clear how to do it. However, the electric fire downstairs sufficiently heated the living room and kitchen and created a cosy atmosphere.

Caroline is a fantastic host. Her home was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. Some lovely small details that make it extra special on arrival- welcome pack, well stocked (cleaning materials, dog throws and bowls etc). Fantastic location. We loved how peaceful it was at the cottage and the close proximity to the beach. We would definitely recommend staying at Paddy’s cottage and hope to be able to return there in the future.

Sarah is by far the best host we have ever had. we have used Air b and b for 5 years. Sarah is very accomadating to any issue arising and communicates very well. Saltburn is a lovelly place to go and the house is within a few minutes walk into the centre so very convenient We have been 4 times and always a pleasure to stay at her house.

James was fantastic as a host! The cottage was great and looked exactly what the images showed, it was clean and had everything we needed! Location was perfect and close to a village store, a pub that did delicious home cooked meals and also the venue of a wedding we were attending hence the stay! All good & 100% would recommend staying here!
