BALTA VARNA means WHITE CROW in Lithuanian and we can definitely relate to the meaning behind the phrase. BALTA VARNA is an intimate space and was designed, built, cared for by ourselves and the locals. We are nestled on a small hill, surrounded by many different plants and trees, views of the ocean, sounds of many bird varieties and howler monkeys. We offer private home rentals for a tranquil vacation close to many world class surf break - 3km to the first beach access point - Playa Guasacate.

Jungle Beach Surf Casita

Our cute casita is situated in a large garden beside a river. You can listen to the birds and howler monkeys, relax in your hammock on the patio, and look at the Guanacaste trees in the garden. You can use the pickleball / basketball court on the property with a terrace and outdoor kitchen. You can walk to Marsella beach (10 min.) or Maderas beach (20 min.), where you have great surf. It is 10 min. to San Juan del Sur: you can already use the new road, the Costanera, that is being built.

Where jungle meets the beach. Just a 5-minute-stroll to the water. On top of the first hill overlooking the ocean. We are the closest apartment to playa Maderas! You will enjoy this rustic, light studio apartment. It has a compact kitchenette + living room. The bed- and bathroom are totally screened in to make you feel comfortable in the tropics. Keep in mind though that we are in the jungle and critters are a part of that! There is a small garden with a picnic table and a hammock chair.

We have WIFI, motorbike with racks and surfboards rental, surf guiding service so you can score the best spots in the area.

It is situated in the lively neighborhood La Planta, 200m from the beach, 350m from the center of SJ. Private parking available.
