Houten huisjes in River Wye

A fantastic stay for our family, with opportunities for our little ones to meet some farm animals, go on some hilly walks and enjoy the countryside. A bonus was the outdoor hot tub, enjoyed at night amongst the stars.

Owen is the perfect host! I asked him if he could put up a few banners and balloons for my sister’s (very low key) hen night and he was amazingly helpful! He was fantastically fast at replying and couldn’t help more. We loved the wine he left and chocolates, and he showed us everything we needed to know when we got there. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing and the cabin is perfect! It was the perfect place to celebrate in a low key, grown up way.

The cabin was a great place to stay overnight and was in a very convenient area for us to go and shop in Bristol city centre, would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to spend a day in Bristol!

We had an amazing stay at the cabin, it was remote and tucked away so felt extremely private. The hot tub was an amazing addition, and having a full kitchen while away was also a big plus for us. The kitchen equipment was extensive also. We really appreciated the coffee and hot chocolate that was provided, it was a really sweet touch. Overall, we loved the place, it felt like home away from home. Thanks again to Melanie and Luke!

A beautiful lodge in a peaceful area. The lodge was spotless and felt very comfortable and homely. There was lovely cake on arrival and everything you could need was there to use over the weekend. Charlie was a lovely host and always replied quickly to any questions we had. Only a short walk in to the town where there were some lovely little shops and pubs. Thanks for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend staying here.

Truly stunning location with beautiful friendly hosts who made us feel at welcome to explore the whole farm. Victoria obviously has an exceptional eye for detail, the Lodge was clean and very well organised, with everything and more than we needed. Fantastic location with peaceful surroudings. Well equipped making it home from home. Visited Bluebell Inn (30 minutes walk) great food and if you go online there is a voucher for 30% off mains. Hot tub was a bonus.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. The Owl House was cozy, and we settled in straight away. It looked exactly like the pictures, and we loved the decor and little touches. It was clean and fully epuipped, and the hot tub was lovely. Thank you, Jude and Haydn x

The cabin is set in a beautiful location and is roomy and well equipped. Even in February we were cosy and warm. There are thoughtful touches like board games which we enjoyed playing. There was a handy guide to local restaurants and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. We would highly recommend Tessa’s cabin , Thank you Rose & Adrian

We had a lovely stay and would recommend for a relaxing get away with lovely views. The place had everything we needed for cooking/bbqing and Tim was really helpful with local recommendations and getting us settled.

What a find! We absolutely loved this property! I booked this lodge for my partner's 30th, and the lodge itself is even better that the photos, where we already had high expectations! It was stunning. The property was faultless. Melanie was an incredible host, very communicative from booking, giving us more details, checking in a few weeks before and providing very clear easy instructions for check in. Melanie also offers a celebration package which includes some balloons, banners and prosecco, , and I was completely amazed at the level of attention and detail that was put in. Thanks Melanie, we really look forward to hopefully making another trip sometime :)

The description and photos of the cabin were very accurate. The cabin had everything you needed including a lovely little welcome pack from Naomi. It was very clean and comfortable and the surrounding area was beautiful with nature right on your doorstep. It was also assessable to all the local attractions being just a short distance away. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Thank you Naomi for a wonderful stay

We had a fabulous few days at the cabin. It was spotless and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay in the middle of the countryside! The views from the terrace were amazing both through the day and at night. We found the cabin warm and well stocked. Would highly recommend for a little getaway from the bustle of daily life. Will be back!

We had a lovely 3 night stay with our retriever. The cabin is beautiful, peaceful and very private with an amazing view from the balcony to sit outside and watch the sunsets. The hosts supply everything you'd need, even bits for your dog! They allow dogs to have freedom in the open fields in front of your cabin, which ours absolutely loved to play with his ball. So much to do nearby but we found ourselves wanting to spend more time at the cabin than go out as we adored it so much. Their cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. We couldn't recommend it more and hope to return in the future.

Had a lovely stay at Clare’s cabin. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Clare was very helpful and even allowed us an early check in. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing little cabin. Awesome view off of the back deck - You can see for miles. Bees buzzing and birds chirping are the only things you'll hear.

Such a lovely last minute stay for the bank holiday! Sarah was so lovely and had some great recommendations for local walks. The cabin was amazing and the location is perfect for a relaxing break in mid-wales. It was so peaceful sat in the hot tub watching the horses in the field opposite. Will definitely be looking to stay again!

Had a lovely 2 night stay at sue & dave's cabin , absolutely beautiful & very clean, fantastic hosts , always kept in touch, very helpful , fantastic prices, will definitely stay again, everything that you ned is provided, even down to toiletries, fresh eggs, milk, tea, coffee & sugar & definitely will recommend to family & friend's... The perfect Peaceful getaway

Such a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil location. The log cabin was comfortable, well equipped and had everything you need for a restful few days away from the hustle and bustle. Great location and close enough to visit Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We booked The Cabin by the Other Lake for the first time this year - and it definitely won't be the last. The cabin itself was beautiful, everything has been so well thought out. And the surroundings are stunning - waking to birdsong, seeing swifts & blackbirds at breakfast, newt and tadpole spotting in the afternoon, sitting by the fire looking at the stars at night & hearing the owls. Amy & Dee were welcoming hosts. We could not recommend this place highly enough
