This historic mill cottage on the water is in the heart of the village of North Bennington. It's a short walk to Bennington College, the Pangaea Lounge, the McCullough Library, Kevin's Sports Bar, Powers Market, Lake Paran, the Park McCullough House, and Mile Around the Woods walking trail. Village life in this quaint town is welcoming and delightful. You’ll enjoy our pet-free house for the convenience, comfort (home-baked breakfast breads!) and the large sunny deck overlooking the mill pond.
The house dates from 1865 and has all the character and charm of an older cottage. It is updated and comfortably furnished. One of two second floor bedrooms, the guest room is adjacent to a "walk-through" sitting room with a shared half bath across the hall. There is a shared full bath downstairs.

Be comfortable and enjoy the house. There is a bright and sunny sitting room upstairs adjacent to the guest room. Use the kitchen as you need to. Store your cold things in the fridge. I like to bake something to go with your coffee and the deck is a lovely place to enjoy that. Birdsong, sunshine or shelter under the patio umbrella. (Newspapers and deli-style breakfasts are also available next door at Powers Market.) There is cable TV in the living room and wifi throughout the house. There are evenings when we have a campfire at the pond. You are always welcome to join us.

I work in my home studio and will probably be there. Although I will help you settle in, I will also give you space to relax and do your own thing. I am always available to you for information and assistance.
Check out time is 11 a.m. although we are flexible if you let us know.
I'm an artist, author, teacher, maker. Although I'm new to Airbnb, I have hosted popular art-based getaways for women in a private home nearby for the past five years. Sharing this part of the country with visitors is always a pleasure.
