My home commands a grandstand view of the Otago Harbour looking towards Dunedin city. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac, with nearby convenience store and cafes. The hills around the harbour lend a magnificent backdrop to the views from the living areas.
I live at Macandrew Bay on the Otago Peninsula beside the Otago harbour. I love the area for the friendliness and the quietness as well as for the stunning view. Room has shower/handbasin with a toilet adjacent to the bedroom. Share living space.
The house is situated to have maximum sunlight and has views of the harbour down to Dunedin city. The bedroom is on the ground floor with garden just outside the window.
There is shared space upstairs. Guests may eat own meals by arrangement bearing in mind that I have a nut-allergy so neither take-out Thai food or peanuts are permitted. Unlimited wi-fi is available
Macandrew Bay is a quiet suburb of Dunedin with a dairy, art gallery, licensed cafe, pharmacy, primary school, Yacht Club, Bowling Club, Glenfalloch Woodland Garden. There are very good restaurants in the city itself, such as Two Chefs, Pluto's, Pier 24 to name but a few. The Botanic Gardens are a delight to wander through.Otago University, New Zealand's oldest university, provides a pleasant area to walk through with historic buildings cheek by jowl with modern ones.
My home is close to a bus stop (the bus can be caught outside of the Otago Museum or Centre City New World supermarket) and is about 14 Kms from the centre of Dunedin.

I am more than happy to help with information to enhance your stay in Dunedin. A long involvement in conservation and community has given me a wealth of knowledge of the area
I am a long-term resident of the Otago Peninsula and know the area very well. I love taking about it and the many attractions on it. I enjoy entertaining guests and hearing about their lives and what they have enjoyed about visiting my adoptive country. I came to New Zealand in 1978 and find it a great place to live. I even enjoy the fact that we can have four seasons in one day! I am a member of the City Choir of Dunedin which forms part of the musical culture of Dunedin perhaps better known for the emerging music home is surrounded by a garden - a mixture of native trees, roses and edibles. I am enjoying being back in my garden s ince having a hip replacement in 2015. As a country, we have great produce and I love cooking meals and baking muffins and other goodies with locally-sourced food.. One special aspect of y home is the deck which faces into the afternoon/evening sun. It is so relaxing to be sitting on the deck in the evening sharing food and drink with friends or guests.Dunedin is one of UNESCO cities of literature and we are fortunate to have an amazing number of writers and also artists here.
