Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
Please note that we do not have credit card facilities therefore all payments should be made in cash (Tanzanian Shillings, US Dollars or Euros). PLEASE NOTE US DOLLARS MUST BE DATED 2006 OR LATER AS PER TANZANIAN BANKING LAW. We strongly recommend you withdraw enough funds for your visit to the East Coast from an ATM or bank in Stone Town as there are no such facilities outside of the city. Pweza Beach is a small, locally owned business and does not have a cancellation policy therefore we urge you to keep this in mind when making your reservation with us. Karibu sana!
Just be respectful of other people and their property. If you use the kitchen for cooking, please clean up after yourself and replace any dry goods you use, if possible. The kindness of others is what makes our kitchen work!
We welcome all our guests and interact with them as little or much as they want. Someone is always around if required.
A New Zealander who somehow ended up volunteering as a teacher for a year at a tourism training institute in Zanzibar. First found out about Zanzibar by seeing a picture of The Rock Restaurant and now we have bungalows adjacent to it! Pweza Beach is the first post teaching partnership I've entered into with locals where I provided the cash and expertise to get the business up and running. It supports around a dozen locals. The next project, Zanzibar Beach Apartments in Jambiani have just opened. We're working on some treetops accommodation on Michamvi Peninsula next!
