Located on the edge of Picton, the gateway to the magnificent Queen Charlotte Sound. Koru Cottage is a modest 1930's 3 bedroom cottage which has been extensively renovated but still retains it's original character.
The house is sunny and has French doors onto a large deck and outdoor dining area. The house is heated by a powerful logfire and an older heatpump with a wall heater in the back bedroom. There is a great entertainment system with a large selection of DVD's. Both the kitchen and bathroom are modern and well equipped, there is also a BBQ on the deck for guests to use.
Capsule coffee machine in kitchen - just bring your favourite pods.
If you are staying on a weekend I may be available to take you sea-kayaking. Please enquire about this when you book. A bicycle is at the house for you to use.
Please note that WiFi is not available at this house but there is good cellphone reception for those with mobile data and the Picton library has free wireless internet access.

the whole property is yours to treasure and enjoy, there is a large deck with shade sail in the summer and an arbour for relaxing in the backyard. French doors open onto the deck and there is a rear entrance off the deck also. The driveway has room for two cars or a car and boat. the property is fully fenced for kids.
Ideal location for travellers crossing on the Bluebridge or Interisland ferries.

We respect your privacy but are available if there is anything you need. I am a keen sailor, diver and kayaker and know the sounds well, I am happy to assist with any queries and can help arrange trips in the sounds or advise the best places to eat and things to do.
Kayak trips to Kaipupu Point may be arranged for a small fee, if you are keen on this please let me know when you book. There is a sit on kayak and soft roof rack at the house, free for guests to use.

Tea and coffee are provided. There is also a well equipped pantry and picnic basket - please restock anything that you use.
This is an ideal base to explore the sounds from. About 10 minutes ride to Victoria Domain mountainbike park or take the new cycle trail along the Queen Charlotte drive.

We enjoy a relaxed lifestyle and the great outdoors. Marlborough and the sounds are incredibly beautiful, we love to spend our spare time sailing, kayaking, diving and skiing.
