As an active organic permaculture farm in the summer, at least one of the homeowners is available to assist you with any of your needs- from kitchen needs, extra fine linens,
or a great book from the wonderful Main House Library room. If you wish to pick your fresh blueberries for breakfast, or your vegetables for dinner, we won't refuse an extra hand to "thin the carrots" or seed another row of lettuce. Our eighteen blueberry bushes are poised to produce copious amounts of organic fruit. Don't let the "fake owls" in the gardens frighten you. We want the berries... not the birds! ;)

Stonewall Manor sits at 1800 ft above sea level, and the road to the house may require 4WD with snow tires in the winter. As your hosts, we are pleased to assist you with transportation during a blizzard. As we are avid skiers, we are prepared with the proper vehicles, and are pleased to help. The town maintains the road twice daily, and we always make it back home- even during the welcoming snowstorm.
As each apartment has it's own independent security system, we kindly ask our guests to use this feature. This is to ensure your safety, privacy and your personal belongings, we ask you "set" your system (when you are not home) with a push-button "FOB" attached to your key
"We've Come Home" is what so many of our guests are saying, along with
"Voila!" Yes, we're expensive, but with every amenity, whether Privacy
and Seclusion, or being welcomed as "Family", you will not find such another
Grand Estate anywhere in the Northeast United States. Considering Twin Farm? Perhaps think again. And please, take a few moments to read all about us.
We are a married couple twenty-seven years, with two main
residences- Stonewall Manor- our amazing 25 room, seven bath Arts-and Crafts Estate, and Manhattan. Commuting via the
"Ethan Allen Express" from Penn Station to Vermont, we
enjoy the quick five mile drive to ski at Killington, or when in
the city, a quick taxi from our 3 BR, 3BA ground-floor Duplex in Midtown Manhattan to Penn Station (which we also airbnb- 321 W. 47th St. 1B) . If you so desire, we can meet you at the Train Station if you do not wish to drive to Vermont. Chuck commutes weekly and we're inviting all who don't wan't to drive- we are more than pleased to pick you up at the station Friday evening, and return you either Sunday evening or early Monday Morning. Forget the car! This can be adjusted to your schedule, so relax, enjoy the "bar car" and let us do the driving in one of our many vehicles- (yours also for the rent - or to tour Vermont on your own- (Top-down Jeep Wrangler, two motorcycles, Honda Ridgeline and EuroLux Volvo XC70)
While here, we are pleased to ferry you about town for groceries or for a short "sight-seeing" adventure. Upon request, we will also fully stock your private kitchen will all of your needs. We are not your typical airbnb. We aim to please, and go "above and beyond" for our guests comforts, desires and caprices. Please allow us to shop and cook for you, a hot dinner awaiting your arrival. As many of our guests are now "returning guests", we are pleased to offer you either the peace you desire, the adventure you'll have, all with complete discretion. We have made arrangements for guests wishing to stay with us, to offer them tastefully appropriate pricing, all depending on whether you wish to stay in Woodstock, or at the famed Twin Farms. Your privacy and discretion are foremost in our hearts and minds.
Twelve years ago we designed and built this Twenty-five room, seven bath
Arts and Crafts home with the goal of creating an organic farm and a luxury house with amazing separate apartments for the extended family. Being located at the very top of the mountain on a dead-end road, you will experience tranquility as never before. Our "extra touches" such as fine linens, over-stocked refrigerators and pantry's, as well as our experience in the hospitality industry (a degree in Hotel Tech/Restaurant Management) continue to delight our guests- as is obvious with our ALWAYS "Five-Star reviews".
Our Arts-and-Crafts estate and organic farm in Vermont is large and unique, with breath-taking views of six Vermont Peaks, including Killington, five miles distant. Enjoy
one or all distinct apartments from the main house, all with private entrances full-kitchens, private bathrooms and private decks and patios. There is also a very special "Cottage In The Woods" for a
magical night's campfire and tiki-torch lit paths through the forrest.
Plan your next retreat, wedding or simply entertain in the entire 9 bedroom, 7 bath private home. (Your hosts can be nearby at another home we own in the area).
With over 9,000 sq. ft. of entertaining space, our Arts-and-Crafts home and organic farm is truly unique, exquisite and one-of-a-kind.
We are a welcoming LGBT couple, and we offer a retreat from the bustle of the world as we border 30,000 acres of true wilderness. Meet a deer, a moose or a flock of wild turkeys as you stroll the natural byways of this quiet, enclave neighborhood at the very end of the power-grid. Please borrow a book from our Brown/Yale/NYU Library in the Main House and let the days float by. Cross-country ski from
your back door along this spectacular private mountain ridge, or take the five-mile drive to Killington's Skyeship Gondola. We are also less than ten minutes from Woodstock, the "Quintessential" New England Village, home of the Morgan Horse and the Billings-Rockefeller Estate.
Please email us! (yes, one of your hosts is a
PSIA Certified Ski Instructor at Killington and National Ski Patrol Paramedic)
Between the two of us, we are fluent in English, Russian, German, Dutch and Icelandic. We travel often to Iceland, as we have many dear friends there. There will often be an Icelander visiting if you care to meet a true Viking. And, if you ever desire to visit Iceland, please ask- and you will be greeted at Keflavik Airport by one of our very dear friends.
We are the proud parents of two very friendly and playful Golden Retrievers, one of whom recently gave birth. A Golden Puppy awaits your love if you desire one by mid-October. They (and us!) love to swim in our 9 ft. deep sparkling Pond.
We are entering into a new venture with our next-door neighbors (1/4 mile away), Ted and Linda Fondulas, former chef/owners of Hemingway's Restaurant in Killington, a four-star Mobil restaurant for nearly 30 years. After being named one of the "Top 25 Restaurants in America" by Food & Wine magazine and one of the "Top 50 Restaurants in the US" by Condé Nast Traveler, Robert Mondavi knighted Ted with the "RM Culinary Award of Excellence" for pairings of food and wine. After nearly thirty years they retired the restaurant--where Julia Child also occasionally dined--and are now offering us an exciting and enticing experience. As one of the top chefs in the United States, Ted is offering cooking classes from their home. Since we dine together here at Stonewall Manor most every Thanksgiving and Christmas, when you plan your visit consider their amazing culinary skills and talents. We are pleased to coordinate an amazing culinary experience with Ted and Linda.
All of our guests love the "extra touches" and well-stocked refrigerators. Please do not hesitate to request anything extra, or inform us of any dietary restrictions. We are here to make your stay a truly remarkable experience. We encourage our guests to experience our amazing neighbors and their culinary talents. We dined with Ted and Linda the other night as they hosted and delighted us- and our four visiting Vikings.
Our many thanks to ALL of our guests for the consistent five-star reviews. Our views will absolutely "Take your Breath Away" each and every morning your head rises from its 600 count linen pillowcase. Our motto? "Excelsior"- "Ever Upwards" (preferably on a gondola, lol). Happy trails! And welcome to the very "Heart of the Green Mountains".
Recently, we were honored to host a famous celebrity, whom, of course will remain anonymous. She had the pleasure of dining with us, with a cocktail awaiting on our Fourth Floor Cupola Deck, replete with its 200 yr.old Antique Bar, wrap-around windows, and invitingly plush sectional sofa. We witnessed both a stunning sunset as well as a breathtakingly colorful "Bailey's and coffee" sunrise.
You will not find another estate within Vermont that offers such discreet and luxurious accommodations...
