Guests have access to the entire apartment and courtyard patio. Enjoy a cup of coffee sitting at the patio surrounded by lush trees. There is also a spacious backyard with a hammock available for guest use. We planted some blackberry and raspberry bushes further up the back yard which we hope will flourish. Feel free to have a taste!
If you bring bikes or kayaks/canoes with you, you can store them in our barn which is located at the top of the driveway.

Hello, my name is Jean. I live in New England with my husband Mike, kids and cats. Mike is a self-described foodie (not the snooty kind, he just loves food) and film buff who also loves to garden. I cook the food Mike grows and enjoy cake/cookie decorating, knitting and reading.
We live near Boston and found ourselves coming up to the mid-coast every year. Sometimes in the summer but also in the winter and eventually, we were here every season to discover and explore the beautiful area. Then one day Mike says to me, "We should look into getting our own place up here since we visit so often." And then voila* we found and bought this beautiful Federal style home (built in the early 1800s) and decided to fix it up. The front half of the home (what we call the "main house") is leased out to long-term tenants. The smaller add-on (we sometimes call it the "cottage" or the "apartment") was built in the 70s or 80s and has a rustic charm that we love. We hope you love it too.
I hope you enjoy your stay in our cute cottage. We put a lot of work into it to make it as comfortable as possible. We pride ourselves on providing a clean place as responsive and responsible hosts. Please let us know what you think! Best - jean
*There were a lot more steps involved, but I am just summing up.
