You can be centrally located & close to shops, yet quiet & rural. Did you know Eureka has a redwood forest in the middle of town? You can stroll to Sequoia Park & Flower Garden in less than a minute from your front door. California’s oldest zoo is right there too! Those otters and red pandas are adorable. And Eureka is a California Cultural District! LONELY PLANET ranks us #1! Get comfortable here while working or visiting Humboldt County.

De ruimte
My furnished house is available for your group of friends, family, or traveling professionals looking for a comfortable place to kick back, with all of the conveniences you need: a fully-equipped kitchen, dining for 12+, games & puzzles, washer/dryer, spacious deck and lawn, piano, wood-burning stove, heater, wi-fi internet, bicycles, and plenty of parking. And… please realize that you will never need air-conditioning in Eureka!

This 2200sq’ home has four bedrooms, plus a sunroom and an office with a daybed/trundle. Baby equipment is available upon request. Sleeping accommodations are a downstairs queen-sized bed, with a king, queen, and twin beds upstairs. The bathroom downstairs is shower-only and equipped with safety rails. The bathroom upstairs has a large clawfoot bathtub. There are steps to get into the house both in the front and back. Please, no smoking or shoes inside the house.

Toegang voor gasten
You will have access to the entire house, the deck, the back yard - the whole shebang. Whether visitors or Guests, ALL people and animals staying or visiting on the property must be disclosed PRIOR to booking a reservation. The $200 pet fee must be paid for any animals on the premises. Dogs must remain in the areas without carpeting and absolutely no animals are permitted upstairs. There are (baby) gates on the premises which will help you in this effort. There are also furniture covers that can be used if your pawed friends are accustomed to lounging on the couch with you. Please be respectful of our house and future guests.
Please park on the street and enter through the gate. If necessary, you are welcome to park one car in the driveway, close to the house, while loading and unloading.

Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
Each year, Lonely Planet asks its community of travel experts – in-house editors, researchers on the road and locals on the ground – to decide on the most compelling destinations to visit in the year ahead.
In 2018, Lonely Planet named California’s Redwood Coast, primarily Humboldt County, the number one destination in the country to visit. "Located four hours north of San Francisco, this picturesque region spans 175 miles of coastline and is home to towering forests of giant redwood trees that you might recognize from blockbuster film franchises such as Star Wars and Jurassic Park. With Redwood National Park turning 50 this year, travelers can get their share of shinrin-yoku (forest therapy) and experience Humboldt County’s quirky new shops, oysters and brewpubs."

TAX: Unfortunately I must add a 10% city occupancy tax to all reservations less than 31 days. This will be done via "request money" on the website platform after you check-in. If you would prefer to pay in cash, Airbnb says that is permissible.

Most guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement as a condition of staying. This rental agreement works in conjunction with the AirBnB agreement; one does not supersede the other. At your host's discretion, not signing the agreement will be cause to cancel your stay, refunding only the cleaning fee.

For Medical Professionals or Corporate Housing: I am listing the house as "whole" - but I could also offer rooms individually. If you would not mind 'sharing' the house, please let me know by sending an "Inquiry". The individual price would be discounted if there is another person(s) who would like to share the house as well. Bedrooms are keyed individually. You would be less than a 1/2 mile from St. Joseph Hospital; approximately a 6 block (8 minute) walk - with no hills!

Eureka, Californië, Verenigde Staten

Eureka is a wonderful place to stay while working in the area or visiting - or fishing for the tastiest of all fish - Steelhead! Your proximity to everything Humboldt, Trinity, & Del Norte counties have to offer is an advantage to a home-base in Eureka. And this house is a lovely way of being centrally located and close to shops, yet quiet and rural.

There are so many things to do here ... Worldwide, we are known for the glorious Kinetic Sculpture Race & the Kinetic Universe - every May, after the Tall Ships sail in. June brings the [baseball] Crabs back, the Oyster Festival and the Trinidad Fish Fry. July has spectacular fireworks over the Bay, Rodeo Week, and the Folklife Festival. In August this is the best haven to avoid the heat everywhere else, go to the County Fair, Woofstock, run the Humboldt Bay Marathon, and watch the Dog Agility Trials. September is lovely on all of the rivers and for Cruz'N Eureka. October is very busy with even more than the Apple Harvest Festival and Pastels on the Plaza. November begins Crab Season, the Intertribal Gathering & Elders Dinner, and the Mushroom Festival. December has many holiday celebrations including the Symphonies, the Tractor & Truckers' Christmas Convoy, and the Tuba Santas. January has the mildest weather of anywhere, the Eureka Crab Celebration, and is the beginning of Steelhead Days for the tastiest fishing. February is the Inked Hearts Tattoo Festival and the Valentines Sunset Paddle. In March the Aleutian Cackling Geese "Fly Off", it's the educational and entertaining Dog Expo, plus the Redwood Coast Jazz Festival. April is for Godwit Days, the International Film Festival, and [Steam] Donkey Days. And the first Saturday of every month is Arts Alive!

Also, check out "Humboldt Made" for the many cottage industries that have gotten their start here ... Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate, Cypress Grove Chevre, Lost Coast Brewery, and Fire & Light glass are among the most beloved.

But here in Humboldt County, Nature rules. Humboldt State University recently won the honor of having the highest score on the nationwide "Get Outside" competition by Outdoor Nation.

The reason? The beach, the mountains (snow in winter!), the rivers, the redwood forests (zip-lining!), the ocean - all are very close by and easily accessed. Fishing (steelhead!!), sailing, horseback riding, jet boats, ocean fishing, kayaking, biking, running, camping, surfing....
Sky's the limit! Come and play!
