Alverton Barn is a 10 minute walk to Penzance town with it's array of art galleries, restaurants and pubs. Our place is good for couples, solo and business travellers, cyclists and hikers. We're 3 miles from the Charter town of Marazion and St Michaels Mount and a short distance from the lovely fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole. Lands End is only 8 miles away. The bathroom one floor up from your room, shared with our daughter & upstairs guests. The bed is a small double bed settee.
The garden room is in the bottom of the house with French doors which lead out to our lovely little garden with table and chairs. Your bed is a bed settee with a sprung base. It is a small double room and bed but quite comfortable. There is a shelf unit and cupboard. You may leave coats and bags in the hall outside your room if you like. Your bathroom is on the next floor up and shared with our upstairs guests. There is a TV in your room with a built in DVD player (we have many DVDs available) and a Now TV box. There is now a small kettle in your room which will be filled with fresh water prior to your arrival. Tea bags, coffee, milk and sugar and biscuits are also available.

Guests may use the kitchen to prepare drinks and breakfast cereal. toast, fruit and orange juice as available. Please help yourselves. Guests are also welcome to use our small, enclosed patio garden. No cooking please.

Travellers on a cycling trip are welcome to keep their bikes in our walled garden provided they are fitted with bike chains. There is no inside area to house them however.
If cyclists are interested in guided bike tours please ask for more details. We provide leisurely cycle tours of up to 40 miles taking in some of the best sights and places of interest. We can also provide endurance rides of up to 100 miles for the really keen. Age limit is 18. Bike tours may not always be available so do check well in advance.
Please remove shoes indoors and No use of the kitchen after breakfast. A kettle, cups and tea etc is provided in your room. please either pour or spoon out cereals from cereal jars and use teaspoons for jams etc.
Keep lounge door closed at night in order to keep our cat in the lounge.
Leave bathroom door ajar when not in use so other guests know it's vacant.
Water is metered so please be considerate and don't use unnecessarily. We have a bath and a shower but please consider other guests when using facilities.
We want our guests to be comfortable so use the heater provided in your room if chilly but electricity is expensive so please turn it off when you leave.
