Our place is in a quiet neighbourhood with easy, free street parking and a 2 minute walk to public transport, 10 minute drive to centre of town. Your room has a semiprivate entrance and its own bathroom. Kitchen and breakfast are not included but there are many eating possibilities nearby and tea and coffee making facilities in your room. We aim for a low carbon footprint by being aware of water and electricity usage, recycling and composting.
Our house is a 1920s bungalow which we renovated several years ago. We love mixing vintage with new pieces to make a cozy place to live. Cheryl is an artist with many of her works incorporated into the house. Our home was featured in the NZ Sunday Star Times a few years ago.
Our place is good for solo adventurers, business travelers and couples. We are close to shops and lots of great outdoor activities such as Zealandia, Botanical Gardens, bush and cycle ways.

Paul is an avid runner and knows all the great trails in Wellington so if your up for a run, walk or hike, you can join him or get details for a great trail nearby. We often pop into town so you can always hitch a ride in with us if you are without a car.

We are on solar power and do aim for a low carbon footprint by recycling, composting and being aware of water and electricity usage. Please no harsh chemicals such as hair dye, bleach on towels or bedding.
Weather dependent, we can offer washing for $5 per load. Items will need to be line dried and not dried in bedroom as to prevent moisture issues. We can not wash sleeping bags, hiking gear or other heavy like items.
We can set up a cot if you are traveling with a baby or toddler. There will be an extra $20 to cover set up, linens and rubbish removal payable upon arrival. The more mobile your baby is the trickier our place will be. The back garden contains furniture, art and a raised deck that would need close supervision. A large push chair/pram would not be easily stored.
