Our place is GREAT for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Discover Northern Arizona remote Mountain living with the amenities of home. Centrally located to Grand Canyon, Sedona, Flagstaff and Williams.
Cozy private home located on 9 acres in Parks, AZ. Rural area with dirt roads and wildlife flourishing on the prairie. Beautiful views of the San Francisco Peaks. Enjoy star gazing or animal grazing while sipping coffee or cocoa by the fire. If you feel you are up to the task, build a fire in the newly restored antique wood stove, curl up and read a good book or look out at the wildlife. This area has so much to offer for adults and kids alike. Come and relax, enjoy a mountain getaway you won't soon forget. Our "Bunk House" is just that, just like the cowboys do, for sleeping quarters only, detached from the main house you will find it accessible by the deck, a few second walk, 2 bedrooms, a bunk bed full/twin bed and a full bed and a mini fridge. No Restrooms in the bunk house. The main house is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Please note this before your booking.

The following things are included/provided in your stay:
-Coffee, tea and hot cocoa provided for all guests. (Yes, sugar, creamer and some flavoring too!)
-Basic Toiletries, shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided.
-Laundry detergent, dish soap, dish detergent, kleenex, iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
-Toilet paper, linens, trash bags, all those essentials provided.
-Kitchen is furnished, pots pans dishes...etc. Also plenty of spices and basic condiments in fridge.
-Fire pit with surrounding seating (wood to burn provided) so bring the marshmallows for s'mores!, picnic table, gas grill, plenty of parking, horse shoe pit area, outdoor hot tub, all nestled under the beautiful Arizona sky with view of the San Francisco Peaks. Large deck with plenty of seating, lounge chairs, table as well (great for sun tanning or outdoor eating). During the winter months these areas maybe inaccessible due to snow. Our hot tub remains open year round!!!!!
- A Bunk House which provides additional beds for extra guests. The bunkhouse is accessed from deck, however it is not connected to the main part of the home. It has 2 rooms which include a full sizable bed and a futon bunk bed. It is air conditioned/heated and provides lots of extra room.
-Golden Tee Fore Arcade game, poker table with chips and cards. Various other games and books as well.
-Direct TV, during inclement weather satellite may not work. Small collection of DVDs and DVD player.
-No Wifi. I know what will you do????? We are firm believers that when you are here "You're on Mountain Time", get out and enjoy Mother Nature and all of the things our home and the area has to offer. There is great phone signal to tie up those loose ends for work and get back to relaxing and having fun. Our Verizon 4g phones work great at the house as it is very hard to provide Internet in such a rural area and remain cost effective.
-Located on the prairie, be on the look out for Elk, Deer, Antelope all roaming through and around the property.
-Plenty of great hunting grounds for Sportsmen. Check local Fish and Game for tags, permits and game allowed for hunting.
-Sleds for the kids or big kids, with local tubing area for snow tubing.
-We are located on a 9 acre lot, plenty of room for adults/kids/pets to roam around, feel free to bring horses and ATVs as the area provides hundreds of miles of forest roads, great hiking trails located just minutes from the property.
-Few minutes walk to area lake.
-near by Ski Resorts.
-Property is relatively secluded, we are about 8 mins from Historic Route 66 where you'll find 2 small quaint little local general stores, just minutes from I-40.

Unfortunately we are unable to meet our guests as we live in North Carolina. So the place is ALL yours. We have our contact information posted and invite guests to contact us with questions and concerns during their stay.

We HATE EARLY CHECK OUTS as much as you do, if the day of your check out we don't have any bookings we would love to have you stay later and enjoy the day, for no extra charge. Just ask and I will let you know if a later check out is possible. :-)
Infant and children are welcome and they will have so much fun making memories, however, the house may not be safe or suitable for infants under 2 years, as there is no child proofing mechanisms in place.
Check-in is at 4pm, check-out is at 11am. Unless other arrangements are approved beforehand. We are pretty flexible, feel free to ask and we will do our best to accommodate requests.
We want you to feel at home when you stay here. However we do ask a few things of our guests:
- Please keep horse shoes in horse shoe pit area on post provided. You can find a outside light in the Bunk House for night time play.
-Burn fires in designated outdoor fire pit only. Plenty of wood provided. Never leave a fire unattended. By Arizona state law WARMING FIRE is only permitted.
- Please leave dirty linens and towels in bath tub of the guest bathroom upon checking out. Please re-use towels during your stay, this keeps costs down.
-No smoking inside, and please discard any cigarette butts in fire pit. Put cigarette out completely. Fire is a huge risk please be mindful of putting cigarettes out appropriately, this area is very dry. DO NOT DISCARD CIGARETTES IN THE YARD YOU WILL START A FOREST FIRE. No FIREWORKS!!!!!
-Please discard ALL trash into trash can located outside by road upon leaving.
- There are plenty of critters around, be mindful of leaving trash/food outside not contained.
-Remember to shut off the gas grill after using.
-Remove all of YOUR food items from refrigerator at the end of your stay.
-Pets are allowed. However please control your pets. Feel free to use the XL crate provided and good/water bowls when pets are staying. Do your best to keep pets off of the furniture. We do want your pets to feel at home as well.
-The area can be dusty at times, please refrain from leaving windows open for extended periods. Enjoy the fresh mountain air but please close/lock windows upon leaving.
-Sportsmen: We hope you find that trophy of a lifetime on your hunts. Processing of wild game or fish inside can become messy, please refrain from using the kitchen or bathtubs for processing game. Please dispose of scraps appropriately. Your deposit could be held for cleaning fee.
-We are fast learning that most guests leave behind personal articles almost on every stay. We will mail it back to you but you will have to pay postage as it is becoming costly to mail stuff back.
-Our home is just that, a home. It is not intended for our guests to host wild parties. Have a great time but please respect our home.
-Please turn the hot tub down to 90 degrees once you are finished using it. Leaving it at 103 increases our electricity significantly, and in-turn may effect the cost of future reservations for everyone.
-Please leave unit on to prevent freezing.
-Please close the hot tub cover after every use.
-Put cover back on after use and before leaving. IT WILL BLOW AWAY ON THE PRAIRIE! This could cost you your deposit for replacement
-Please no glass (bottles and cups) in the hot tub.
- Please leave spa frog in hot tub, to ensure correct and safe pH.
-Feel free to use the wood stove and wood provided, do not overload stove this will cause a chimney fire. Burn ONLY wood in stove, no cooking on wood stove. There is a fire extinguisher located in the laundry room.
Please supervise children when stove is burning as it gets very HOT.
-Remove ALL ashes from wood stove upon leaving DO NOT LEAVE ASHES/WOOD IN FIRE PLACE UPON CHECKOUT. This could cost your deposit. This ensures that a fire is not burning.
-Above all, it's vacation.... HAVE FUN! :)
