Ring a bell at the waters edge just minutes from the property to summon the ferry to Greenway, former home of Agatha Christie, hire a boat to explore the river yourself, or take the passenger boat from Dittisham to historic Dartmouth with its wonderful range of shops and restaurants.

Hop across on the ferry to Kingswear and take the delightful steam train journey to Paignton.
Blackpool Sands, a Blue Flag Award-winning beach is within eight miles and features the Venus Beach Cafe which serves organic and locally produced food.
Backed by green hills and woodlands, walkers are well catered for with excellent walking opportunities, including the Dart Valley Trail which runs through the village close by the property.
Golfers are catered for at the Dartmouth Hotel Golf and Country Club, and there are tennis courts in central Dartmouth by the river.
