I am a poet and playwright and this apartment is my working space. It's contemporary, personalised and comfortable. Split over two levels, the mezzanine level has a bedroom with double bed, and a study area. Downstairs there's a shower room, a compact, well appointed kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave, and a double height, light, airy lounge. As well as numerous books which guests are welcome to read, there's a stack of DVDs and music. The apartment is on the third floor, at the top of Carlton Chambers, the town's converted Victorian Co-op building. There's a lift to the second floor then a short flight of stairs. Located in the heart of Hebden Bridge with independent shops, cafes and cinema, the renowned music venue The Trades Club, and artists' studios, all literally on the doorstep, the apartment is also ideally placed for fast regular trains to Manchester and Leeds. Hebden Bridge is an exceptionally beautiful pennine market town, renowned for its character, its independence and its beauty and for sitting at the heart of some of the best walking country in the UK.

I'm a writer ( poetry and drama) and freelance arts consultant, with a specialism in community and engagement work in theatre. I'm an Associate Artist at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre and Visiting Teaching Fellow at MMU's Writing School. I love the natural world, walking in the countryside, and all animals. I also love visiting art exhibitions, going to the cinema ( especially to see foreign language films) and listening to music. I'm addicted to books and have run out of space to store them.
