Faultless location a few metres walk from the underpass leading to the spectacular Fairhaven beach. A nature-lovers dream with beautiful walks all around: forest; cliff-top;beach. Andrew was the perfect host - relaxed, friendly and respectful. We took up his suggestions re walks and dinner venue. (bush and forest walks including Mogg's creek plus walk to the Airey's inlet lighthouse including both beach and cliff-top) Airey's pub - great food, staff and ambience - we enjoyed local cab sav - Woolsley -and excellent beer brewed on site. Well-fitted out space suited our needs for overnight stay. Will be back.

Perfect location to spend the Easter holiday weekend. The beach is super close, and a walking tunnel below The Great Ocean Road makes it very easy to get to the water. The place was very comfortable. We spent most of our time outside swimming, surfing, biking, walking, etc, and ate at out at the great restaurants in Airey's Inet & Fairhaven (Onda Foodhouse, Little Feast, A La Grecque, Captain, Fairhaven Surf Life Saving Club, Mr T & Me). The place was perfect for regrouping and sleeping. Would definitely recommend.

Having spent my youth growing up on dairy farms in the small Otway townships of Bambra and Deans Marsh, I've always enjoyed the natural surroundings of the Otway Ranges and the Surf Coast and have acquired lots of local knowledge and insights which I am very happy to share.

My grandfather built the first private residence in the same street as the iconic Split Point Lighthouse. We would often make the trip over the hill to stay at the house where we spent many enjoyable hours exploring the Painkalac River, beaches and the hinterland with our extended families and friends.

The house was burnt to the ground in the 1983 Ash Wednesday fires with only the chimney left standing. My parents later rebuilt and have retired there.

My wife, Janine, and I enjoy reading, bush walking and bird watching and are happiest when body surfing the waves at Fairhaven Beach and Kennett River, where we met many years ago.
