Set in the beautiful and tranquil Malon, it's close to Guipry-Messac where you can find local amenities and also near the stunning Corbiniere Woods.
Ideal for bird watching, fishing, walking, canoeing, cycling or doing nothing! Surrounding medieval villages are influenced by artists and the coast is approx a 45 min drive away.
It is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The house is a spacious old granary building (around 140 years old at least) which has been completely modernised. The photograph looks as if it is two houses but this is one completely detached large cottage. The downstairs accommodation consists of a double aspect large lounge with a log burner and TV, sound system, DVD player and internet. The lounge has French doors which open onto the patio. The fully equipped kitchen diner is also very large and has a cooker; microwave; toaster; kettle etc; dining table and chairs and small dishwasher. The modern bathroom is also on the ground floor which consists of a large corner shower, toilet and sink. The upstairs accommodation consists of two completely separate large bedrooms (one double and one twin) each has their own spacious toilet and sink with hot and cold water to each. The double bedroom has a pull out child bed if needed, and there is a sofa bed which can be erected in the lounge if you would like a fifth person to stay. The lounge is easily big enough to accommodate this easily.
There is a large patio to the front of the property with views of the river and beyond (very beautiful) and a solid table; cantelever parasol and chairs so that you can sit out to your hearts content into the night. There is also outside lighting.
There is a separate 'washhouse' adjoining the house which houses a modern washer dryer and the water heating system. There is also a BBQ for your use. The garden is very large (approx 200ft) in front of the house and is laid to lawn so ideal for children and pets, and enclosed by hedges and oak trees.
