Comfortable, private room in second-floor apartment in the officers' quarters of historic Fort Ethan Allen. Lovely covered porch with rocking chairs, flowers, gentle breezes and a great view of a park directly across the street. The park is large and features a mile-long running track, tennis courts, gazebo and more.
I have a very friendly (age 11 years, going on 2) Golden Doodle dog and cannot accommodate any other pets.
There is a mini-fridge in the room. Bath towels, face cloths, high- end Aveda shampoo is provided. An extra blanket is in the bottom drawer of the dresser. Five pillows on the bed!
If a guest is bringing a bicycle, there is a secure, easily-accessible basement where it can be safely stored. If a guest would like to go bicycling but is not bringing a bike, I have bikes that can be rented. If that is something a guest might be interested in doing, payment in cash can be made at the time of rental.
Toegang voor gasten
Check-in entry would be via the front door, but thereafter entry/exit can be via the back door, which is immediately adjacent to the room. There's only one bathroom, so it's shared, but I make every effort to accommodate my guests. The washing machine and dryer are available for use.
Interactie met gasten
I do my best to give guests their privacy but am available for as much interaction as you would like. The choice is yours.
I'm fairly knowledgeable about Burlington and its environs and am happy to offer suggestions or information. City maps and other useful materials are provided.

Airbnb made an agreement with the State of Vermont to collect occupancy taxes for state and local governments, so the prices for all Airbnb places everywhere, anywhere in Vermont — including mine — include taxes. The service fee is a charge made by Airbnb; hosts do not set the fee and do not receive any part of it.
My place is on the second floor. There isn't any elevator.
