I’m sorry you had such a horrendous experience. I actually had no clue until I read this review. Your internet connection and the name of network showed up after you restarted your computer, yet you’re saying I don’t provide amenities listed.
My listing doesn’t include a large television. At all. The place didn’t have any television in the beginning and it wasn’t something people had ever had an issue with. I did however, provide a new large tv, which was brought by a friend. It’s an extra, unlisted amenity that is not required. If having to get up for turning the tv on was that big of a amenity deal breaker, then you could have let me known. I asked if things were ok and I was told yes.
Now, I’m finding Inaccurate feedback about me, and the space, which is accusatory and blatantly dishonest and disrespectful. I never had ANYONE so rude to my comment section by saying I rip people off when I’ve had more guests than you’ve had stays, and no problems were reported to me to be able to rectify, but instead made to think everything was ok, just to find this awful, angry, and hate-filled comment.
I’m hard working too. I have a full time job during the day and I keep up with a second, additional apartment exclusive for Airbnb so guests have privacy. I’m also a driver for Uber, and my extra money goes to food, linens, cleaning services, and rent.
I’ve never conned anyone for their money. I sometimes end up paying the rest of the bill bc I want people to have a comfortable and relaxing stay.
To additionally rate the cleanliness as 1 Star, after having it completely scrubbed from head to toe is another inaccurate assessment that is clearly a rating made from resentment over a television I never had been told wasn’t working. My place, 30/night, not 50, is arguably one of the lowest priced entire apartments on Airbnb. You will pay, easily 100/night for a shared space, with a tiny room, no private bathroom, in Chicago. And you won’t be offered laundry services, a pick up or drop off to the airport with all your luggage (also not a listed amenity- offered free of charge, yet I still offer it). I’m not sure if you have ever used Airbnb before, as I’m the first person you have reviewed and you just made your profile, but those of us who share our space with the public population, don’t do it to get rich at all. Most of us truly want to provide a cozy, home like place while traveling.
Finally, since you have photos, maybe posting them to show the place wasn’t dirty at all, could prove helpful. I too, have photos of the place immediately before you checked in from the cleaning service, and you were provided with lots of amenities, a clean and comfortable apartment unless if you are able to afford a place with comparable price, space, amenities. Also, I showed you around, showing your tons of silverware. So the comment of nothing to cook with? I am just beside myself and have never had anyone lie so much in all my hosting experiences.
