We are deeply disappointed by this review.
First of all, we are very surprised that in private you wrote that our house is “lovely” and our staff “wonderful” “gracious” and “accommodating” and that public review is instead so negative and we really do not understand the reason for this behaviour.
Please find below our replies for each issue you’ve pointed out:
Electricity: if too many electrical appliances are used at once, as you have done in spite of our repeated recommendations, a blackout is inevitable, because of electric overload (the meter registered 30% of overload!!). Anyway our staff has always promptly solved the problem.
Electricity cost: Electricity cost was clearly stated as extra cost on the listing prior to booking. We have sent also private reminds about all conditions. If they did not fit you, you could have told us and we could have tried to reach a compromise.
Wifi: regarding wi-fi signal, its instability was due only to the electrical blackouts occurred.
Humidity: the downstairs apartment does not suffer from damp problems at all. Climate in Southern Italy is certainly hot and humid and probably you are not used to, but if there were any real humidity problems in the property, walls and furniture would be stained with mold or other signs of moisture.
Location: regarding the location of the villa and its reachability, we have clearly stated on Airbnb description that the property is reachable via a promenade of about 400 meters, starting from the center of Praiano, as part of the tourist path called "Path of the Gods". You have to consider that Amalfi Coast is morphologically a big hill with many stairs and steep slopes. You are not in Rome or Florence. Anyway the road to get to the villa is walkable and there is also a path without steps. We provide also a luggage transport service to make it easier to reach the property.
We have also gifted you with many free services (luggage transport, extra cleaning service, rental of the property for private events) and we allowed you to pay city tax after check-in (this cost must be paid at the arrival), but it seems that you did not notice that at all.
