Jp - First of all, the neighbor was moving out when their lease ended and already bought their new home. This explains the boxes and some trash in front of their home NOT in front of mine. You completely misunderstood what was going on in the "neighborhood". All of this could have been cleared up with some clear communication but you and your brother failed to tell me what was going on except to vaguely say, "home is unsafe". The neighbor was in the process of moving out, not evicted, but normal ending of the lease. Anyone who is moving out knows that it can be a messy process. My home that is actually the one your brother checked in at was SPOTLESS, confirmed by my professional cleaning crew who came immediately after you left to check on the home. In fact, I personally felt UNSAFE by your vague comments and was concerned for safety of my own property from you when you FAILED to explain what your complaint was about. When I asked you repeatedly, what was the problem? I asked for details to explain why your brother unsafe, I got no response from you. Lastly, my home and the surrounding neighborhood is one of the safest in all of Indianapolis metropolitan area as reported on Trulia based on their crime map. Honestly, if you had communicated better with me, I could have easily told you that the neighbor was in the process of moving out. It's understandable to have boxes and some garbage temporarily out during active moving process. Lastly, many of my other guest have praised how clean my home is, and how nicely it is furnished as it is shown in the pictures. It's sad for me as someone who worked so hard to be a superhost to find a guest who fails to communicate clearly and misconstrue a situation so incorrectly as your brother did. I hope that you will treat others as you would want to be treated by them.
