Charming cottage on the Kennebec River on the outskirts of historic and beautiful Bath, Maine. Close to great shops, restaurants, and beaches, and just a 20-minute drive from Bowdoin College. Adjacent to a boat launch, and a short walk from the Bath Marine Museum and a scenic dog park.
This beautifully preserved 1890's house is situated on the edge of the Kennebec River. It is the larger of two properties on a gorgeous piece of land on the outskirts of Bath. (The other property, "the nest," is rented on Airbnb separately). Guests can sit on the wrap-around deck and watch the evening fall over the marshes. The house has a large fully equipped open-plan kitchen, a sun room with windows on two sides, and a dining room. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with two single beds, and a small bedroom with a single bed, and two bathrooms. There are two dedicated private parking spaces.

Dogs are allowed as long as they don't sit on or damage furniture. Fires and grilling are not permitted. House parties are not permitted. Guest are expected to follow the guideline in the house contract.
We check in with guests to make sure everything is OK, but guests have the house to themselves.
I divide my time between Maine, where my family has been for many generations, Washington, DC, (where I consult for the World Bank), and Memphis, where my daughters live.
