I am originally from Chicago but have lived in the Phoenix - Scottsdale area since college. We enjoy an active lifestyle of travelling, hiking, biking, and snowshoeing the trails behind the cabin as well as snowboarding and cross country skiing at nearby Snowbowl Resort. Most of our free time over the last couple of years though have been taken up on our renovation of the A- Frame and Tiny Cabin using sustainable building practices. Materials were 0 VOC bio based non toxic coatings that we manufacture and salvaged locally sourced Ponderosa Pine, recycled doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures. All three of us (including the dog) have allergies so we try to keep the cabin as dust and allergen free as possible. We find it rewarding to help bring families and friends together from all over the world to enjoy the wonders of Flagstaff and to share the living experience in our cabin. A portion of your homestay fee helps support Flagstaff Family Food Center, Food Bank and Kitchen.
