In the heart of Old Town Key West, among the Conch houses, we are three blocks from Duval Street, a 10 minute walk to the sandy beach and around the corner from the best, yet least expensive meal in town, El Sibony Restaurant.
For 16 years we've provided in our home a clean, quiet and secluded room, with a double bed, to those looking for a more authentic Key West experience. It has it's own private entrance and newly remodeled bathroom.
The room walks out directly to the pool area which has fountains, a fish pond and lush tropical fruit trees. We also have lounge chairs so you can relax by the pool.
There is a coffee/tea station next to the covered seating area so you can have a morning brew and start the day at a leisurely pace. We also provide a small refridge for left-overs, drinks and snacks.
The residential neighborhood we're in is quiet with a variety of "Conch" houses. Even so, we're centrally located: just three blocks from the Gallery District on Duval Street, the main drag,( yes drag), and a 10-minute walk to the sandy Higgs Beach.
The landmark Cuban Restaurant - El Siboney is one block away just around the corner, and Camille's, great for breakfast, is just two blocks away.
Many of our guests rent bicycles from a rental shop a 10-minute walk away, and you can park them in the front yard. On bikes all of old-town is within reach. You really don't need a car. But if you do, parking is easy - right in front of the house.
and finally......we have wireless internet.

We live in the house in an entirely separate space, however we are accessible and enjoy at least one chat during the visit.
We would like our guests to come and go quietly. We work so whispers after 10 p.m.
My wife, Geri, and I moved to Key West 21 years ago from upstate New York. I am a carpenter and builder. I throw pots, have designed a house, made cement sculptures along with concrete counter tops, and recently have developed an appreciation for opera. I enjoy riding my new bike around the island, playing tennis, and sailing.
Geri has been a banquet chef, wedding cake baker, yoga teacher, and for the past 10 years, a concierge and manager of a local bed and breakfast. She fell in love with Italian a few years ago and has been painstakingly studying it every since.
As a Florida Notary, she officiates weddings, elopements, and vow renewals--(in English only!) We both love history, traveling with friends, and staying with other Airbnb hosts, most recently in Havana and Viñales, Cuba. We often host potluck slide shows of our travels with friends and invite them to share photos and stories of their trips.
Geri and I are available to our guests, but respect their need for privacy and alone-time. We provide complimentary concierge services for snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, sunset sails, jet-skis, parasailing, and guided tours--practically anything you can think of doing on the island.
Old Town is walker friendly, but we recommend riding bikes as the best way to get around. We can arrange bike rentals--delivered to the house upon arrival.
Our home is in the heart of Old Town. Our guest bedroom opens onto the deck and pool. The room has a private entrance, full-size bed, and modern private bath with tiled shower. WIFI, dark-roast coffee, a selection of teas, bottled water, refrigerator, hair dryer, & pool towels are provided.
