Cozy, airy 10x13 room in home of 60-ish artist couple in safe, friendly, convenient neighborhood in Brattleboro. Futon couch converts to comfortable double bed with a foam topper. Shared bathroom, kitchen, dining and living rooms. Less than a mile to downtown but also bordering woods trails. Room is on the front of the house so it gets light and minor street noise. Second floor, facing west, 3 windows. Room also has an upholstered chair, a computer table and chair, and closet space.
The house is a duplex, and a lovely family with two young children live next door. Our home is small, beautiful, with a relaxed tidiness, and lots of local fine craft and art. The Airbnb room is our guest room and library. It's on the second floor of the house. The bed is double-sized; the mattress is a futon with a memory foam topper, which makes it very comfortable. No pets live here, but we occasionally have dog visitors.

We will welcome and orient you to the house. If you like, we can help you get to know Brattleboro, with an "insider's view" on where to eat, drink micro brews, find ice cream, hike, swim, kayak, ski, golf and do other active things, where to shop, and what to see. Most of the time you'll be on your own since we both work full-time-plus, and you'll be able to come and go as you please.
Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
1) Teta is a registered yoga teacher and teaches free yoga classes in the living room (cleared of furniture) from 9-11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You are welcome to join the class or quietly walk around us.
2) Steve and Teta are both potters, musicians, both community-oriented, with grown children who live elsewhere, and both have lived in the area since about 1980. Both of us work at home for part of our day.
Take good care of our home and our stuff, and enjoy yourselves while you are here.
I'm a working person with a strong community network. I'm serious and also love to laugh. I'm a potter and yoga teacher, and in the market for additional administrative work. I live with my husband, who is a potter, musician, development consultant, and avid reader. I love extended family, having been born into a family of 7 siblings but having only 1 offspring myself. I walk, dance, play piano and guitar, do personal and community projects, adore my neighborhood. I'm a liberal democrat with socialist leanings. I love a few nice things, and want to keep life simple. I own a Housing Trust house. I grow strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, pears and peaches in the small yard. I can't quite keep up with the gardens. I love dogs but don't live with any currently. I'm allergic to cats. I love life, and also work to make the world a little better.
