De ruimte
A charming bright and airy cottage with a south facing orientation and an evening decking terrace overlooking Castlemaine Harbour and the MacGillicuddy Reeks mountain range with Irelands tallest peak, Carrauntoohil, majestically dominating the picturesque landscape. Tara Cottage is located on the Wild Atlantic Way, settled neatly into the foothills of the Slieve Mish mountains on a quiet cul-de-sac and boasts free off street parking for 4 Cars and a large private unoverlooked rear garden.
The decking terrace makes the most of the southerly aspect and includes garden furniture of table and chairs (Incl. Lap Blankets !!) and parasol for those lazy evenings watching the sun go down.

Perfectly-located with Enviable Surroundings,
Kerry was voted as 3rd in the top 10 places in the world to visit before you die (Global Website - Big 7 Travel).

The Wild Atlantic Way - is the longest coastal drive in the world at 2,500km and placed 2nd on the world-first blog for Coastal Drives.

Enviably situated on the Dingle Peninsula, with an infinite variety of routes to the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way in every direction, just 30 minutes from the lakes, golf courses, National Park, Ross Castle, Muckross House, and fine dining and memorable music nights of Killarney, whilst also being only 35 minutes from the bustling cultural and culinary hub and picturesque fishing harbour of Dingle and onward through to the Slea Head Drive.

Just a 13 minute drive west to the glorious and award winning, Inch Strand, location of double Oscar Winning Ryan’s Daughter (1971), where you can spend the day or perhaps nip down in the evening for a coffee or a pint at the beachside Bar/Restaurant and Cafe. Or perhaps a Guinness or crisp white wine, a fancy G&T and some regular traditional music nights at any one of the family run Bar Restaurants all within 10 minutes drive either east (Boolteens village)or west (Inch).
Inch Beach itself is a Blue Flag beach and spans 3 miles of white sand along which guests can enjoy scenic walks or, for those feeling a touch more adventurous, one of the numerous activities that can be arranged on the beach including surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, and sea and coarse fishing.

For those seeking the pageantry of the Rose of Tralee festival, the town of Tralee is just 25 minutes on the other side of the Slieve Mish mountains.

The oldest fair in Ireland 'Puck Fair' takes place in August and is held annually in Killorglin which is only a 17 minute drive away.

Jack Duggan - 'The Wild Colonial Boy's' - hometown of Castlemaine is just 8 minutes to the east.

For those arriving into Kerry through Kerry International Airport, you will only have a 20 minute direct drive to arrive at your holiday accommodation of Tara Cottage when you leave the airport.

Local shops for the purchase of the daily essentials such as Milk, Bread and Fuel are only 5 minutes drive away at Bensons Quick Pick. N.B. Don't dare leave Kerry without experiencing Irelands finest Ice Cream cone '99' at Bensons.

Should you require more of a supermarket availability, these can be found in Killorglin (Super Valu, Eurospar, Aldi) and Tralee or Killarney (Tesco, Super Valu, Dunnes Stores, Aldi, Lidl).

"A long time ago and in a galaxy far, far away...."
For the History or Film Buffs the Skellig Islands are more stunning and other-worldly than any of the special effects of the past two Star Wars movies. Long before Luke Skywalker arrived on the scene, the real-life towering rock outcroppings glimpsed in the closing moments of the 2015 film The Force Awakens and also playing a starring role in the blockbuster, The Last Jedi, have been a sacred 1,500 year old place of retreat, pilgrimage and sanctuary. The area was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 and are accessible only by licensed boat operators who can bring passengers to disembark on the island. There are also eco tours to the soaring Kerry Cliffs and protected seabirds, including colourful Puffins.

Waar je zult verblijven

Castlemaine, County Kerry, Ierland

A lovely quiet neighbourhood with just a sprinkling of homes populating the road. With the road being a cul-de-sac, traffic is quiet and limited usually to residents.
Whilst maintaining the rural vibe, you are within a few minutes drive of Inch Beach and also Bars and Restaurants east and west in Inch, Boolteens and Castlemaine and within approximately half an hour of the tourist mecca's of Killarney and Dingle.
