Thanks for stopping by! Maybe this is what you're looking for: a place for your small family to escape the heat and enjoy a pristine, quiet mountain lake; a place to swim, hike, boat, fish, and relax. You've found us!
Our cottage is not fancy or huge. It's cozy, clean and right on Lake Nantahala, one of the highest and cleanest lakes in the Eastern U.S. We bought the cottage years ago as a perfect escape from the busyness of Atlanta. Now we want to share it with you.
We have no pool tables or hot tubs. We DO have a great private dock, books, videos, and a place to simply unwind without all the usual distractions of home. Swim from our private dock. (Bring your snorkle gear ... i usually see fish when I snorkle around our dock ... the water is crystal clear) Bring your boat (ramp is 2 minutes away) or rent one from Lakes End Marina (or use our canoe or kayak). Kids love our dock, the many streams to wade in, and places to hike and explore (we're practically surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest). Parents love the quiet setting, our collection of books and movies, and the fact that your cell phone won't work up here and we don't have internet! (You can finally unplug!) There are great restaurants 20 minutes by car (or ride your boat across the water to Lake's End Grill), a Super Walmart in Murphy (35 minutes away) for supplies, hiking trails all around (the Appalachian Trail is 20 minutes away), whitewater rafting close by, and lots of places to wander. We even have a new casino opening in Murphy Summer of 2015. We are not Disney World. We are quite pleased to be 'all natural'.

We'll send you directions to the cabin. You won't see us (although we're very nice people!)

We love for you to bring your dog (for an extra fee, of course!)
We want you to treat our place like your own home for a week (unless you smoke at home ... then we want you to quit. it's bad for you). We welcome your pet. There is a $100 fee, per pet for the rental.
I'm a self-employed actor and writer who travels all over the world performing solo theatre. My wife and I live in suburban Atlanta, but rent out our lakeside NC mountain cabin. We have two grown kids, and no grand-kids yet, but two fine dogs and two virtually worthless cats.
