We didn't end up staying in the straw-bale cabin, instead we stayed in the luminous house on the same property. It was awesome! The property is up the hill a ways from the small town of Yotatiro, which is 10 mins from Erongaricuaro and 30 mins from Patzcuaro. There are fruit trees everywhere - lemons, oranges, pear, avocados - it was paradise. Fresh orange juice every morning is a treat! It's off the gri so there are no power lines and no planes flying overhead - just the sound of bees and hummingbirds during the day and coyotes at night. The house was spacious yet cozy with multiple bedrooms, a lovely fireplace stocked with lots of firewood, a huge kitchen, and a yoga studio. And the views are spectacular. Jenny was a delightful host and we because fast and easy friends. She gave us rides into town, took us to the local mezcal factory for a tour, and went out of her way to provide us with local organic eggs and veggies. I can't recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be back!
