Take in the delights of Poulsbo, a former Scandinavian fishing village still known as "Little Norway." Poulsbo's historic district features lots of yummy restaurants (don't miss Sluys Danish bakery or the organic ice cream treats at Mora) shops, antique stores, galleries.
NATURE CALLING! Discover countless nature walks, hiking trails, creeks, beaches along the Puget Sound waterways (popular with kayakers) in the area. Bike and kayak rentals are available locally as well!
ALL SEASON DESTINATION! A gardener's paradise - spring brings fresh sprays of color at every turn. Enjoy summer's warm temperatures and plentiful produce, (local berries - yum!). In the fall trees turn glorious shades of orange and red (fresh apples!). Winter may bring a dusting of snow and a chance to enjoy the roaring fireplace.

The nearby Hood Canal Bridge (20 min) – takes you to the gateway to the Olympic National Forest for year-round activities. While you’re there check out historic Port Townsend, Port Angeles and the lavender fields in Sequim (45 min). Suquamish is to the east, home to the first people’s tribe of the same name and a fantastic native museum (15 min). Meanwhile, miles of rural forested roads and farms are fun to explore.
WHAT ELSE? Local museums are plentiful, including Bainbridge Island’s new Museum of Art and KidMu a fun children’s museum. Drop-by one of many farmer's markets in the area (April-October).
SEATTLE BOUND? Catch the Bainbridge Ferry to whisk you across the Puget Sound to downtown Seattle (30 min) and wander through Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, the museums and more. Kingston Ferry takes you farther north to Edmonds and beyond.

Your private guest unit is situated on the ground floor, completely separate from the main house above, where your (mostly quiet) host (me) resides. Check-in is at 2pm on your date of arrival, but there’s no problem coming in later. You will find a basket just outside the front door to the main house with your key, welcome note with instructions and a flashlight (just in case)! A step stone pathway takes you to your private keyed entrance. Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds, including garden, lawn, organic raised veggie beds (in season) and tree swing (for little people). There is ample parking in the circular driveway.

I love welcoming new guests and sharing the beauty of this area. I do my very best to make sure you and your party are totally comfortable and have all you need. I'm available of course if you have any questions or just want to chat! However, I also want to respect your quiet and your privacy - this is your vacation after all - so I typically give guests all the space they need.

Always delighted to welcome new guests! A California transplant myself, I'm a professional by trade, but a lover of the arts, vintage finds, gardening and spending time with my grandkids. Love the natural beauty of the Puget Sound and how central charming Poulsbo is to all the area has to offer. It gives me special pleasure to share it with you! I love driving the miles of green forests and farmlands, shopping local antique stores, hiking the trails or strolling the scenic waterways. Bainbridge Island is just 15 min away, as are many historic and quaint small towns. Just across the Hood Canal you'll find the Olympic National Park, Port Townsend and more. You can even catch a ferry out of Port Angeles to BC Canada! There's always something special going on - art shows, farmer's markets and seasonal events. So much to do and enjoy any time of the year including just lazing around reading a book under a tree or by the fire. Whether hosting you or as a guest myself, I hope you'll find me friendly, quiet and respectful.
