Yarratahr is our 50 acre farm in Mundarlo, along the bank of the famous and beautiful Murrumbidgee River.
We have a detached, private one bedroom flat (with futon in lounge for extras) with full kitchen and washing machine.
Halfway stop for travelling between Sydney and Melbourne.
Yarratahr is a place for everyone. For those passing through, for those taking their time, for adventurers, for families, for artists, for children, for dreamers and for do-ers. For singles and couples. For taking pictures, for catching fish, for talking to animals and plants and flowers.
Unplug at Yarratahr, relax and recharge.
There is a double bed in the bedroom with lovely, 1000tc sunshine-dried sheets for you to rest after your travels. The king single futon in the lounge will be made up with equally sunshiney (Kip&Co) linens if you have children or adults who aren't fussy about needing an inner spring but are fussy about cool local prints for sleeping time. The futon is great for two children but really only suitable for one adult.

Yarratahr is 50 acres of lovely to explore. The flat is private and very comfortable so if you prefer to stay in you can do that instead, it's entirely up to you.
We appreciate privacy in our house and garden (we'll point out where to avoid) but there's plenty of space otherwise.

Life is deliberately slow and quiet here (the ducks make their own rules). We try to have as little intrusive technology as possible so that we have an opportunity to escape traffic, marketing, ringing telephones and insistent emails.
We are happy to provide information you need about the local area but otherwise, we value our family time and time to be reflective so we will leave you to enjoy yourself.
Andere dingen waar je op moet letten
On arrival you'll find the essentials for a yummy breakfast for your stay in the fridge (please advise if you are vegetarian).
At Yarratahr you can do lots or you can do little.
You can take a short walk down to the river and if you have the patience you might see the very shy resident platypus make an appearance. Chat to the cows on the way (very friendly) and feed the horses a carrot (carrots included). Blacky the rescue Kelpie Lab or China the Kelpie pup are sure to accompany you with little encouragement and you can always try your luck at fishing for Murray Cod (worms included) in the mighty Murrumbidgee River.
Yarratahr is teaming with wildlife and we love animals so if you want to bring your pet please get in touch to discuss first.
At Yarratahr the first rule is to relax. We also ask that you close a gate if you open it and that you're kind to our animals. Also, the water we drink, bathe and wash in comes from the sky so please be mindful when you turn on a tap.
Our overnight fee is very reasonable because we don't charge a cleaning fee so we prefer guests who like to leave things pretty much as they found them.
Please be aware that the makeup, body bronzer and faux tans that make you look so lovely and golden stain our linens, forever. It makes us uncomfortable to discuss replacement with you because we like you to sleep in 1000 thread counts and boutique Kip & co from Melbourne and they are frightfully expensive. Please remove cosmetics thoroughly before you sleep.
Lastly, your children must be supervised at all times. We have a pond, a river, horses (an electric fence that keeps them in) and a temperamental rooster. Children are natural explorers and their curiosity must be encouraged - under the watchful eye of their parent or guardian.
We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, the New South Wales Riverina. If you like food and wine...the Riverina is for you. Here at Yarratahr our television stays off, our wifi is rubbish and we like it that way. This is a place where phones don't ring (because they're always on silent and shut away in drawers), and we reconnect with each other in the old-fashioned way, beneath big skies and usually with a drink in hand. We love our little bit of Utopia and leave only when absolutely necessary.
