A two story apartment in the medieval village of St Jeannet in the Alps Maritimes. Just short drive from the Cote D'Azur and about half an hour or so from Nice airport, this rural retreat combines the charm of mountain living with accessibility to the cultural and coastal life of France's Riviera. The apartment, is actually built against the rock face of the Baou de St Jeannet, and the mountain's pinkish rock makes a natural wall to the lower floor. The apartment has a lovely kitchen diner on the ground floor and on the first floor a double bedroom and shower room with views out over the coast. There is a sofa bed in the kitchen diner. St Jeannet is a small quiet village perched above the town of Vence, but well equipped with excellent bakers and grocers and a handful of restaurants. It is a well known walking and climbing centre, but also close to the coastal resorts of Nice, Cagnes sur Mer and Antibes. The area is well known for its galleries and museums as well fabulous food and great weather. This apartment can be rented in conjunction with a the apartment above it, which has a large patio.. and another double bedroom, as well as a further lounge and sofa (website hidden) Jeannet is a medieval mountain village and it's worth noting that because of its stepped streets and inclines it might not work for those who are elderly or who have mobility issues. There is free parking a short walk from the house.
