Placed in the middle of a yurt community, organic dairy farm and organic garden, a tiny house on wheels. Build out of mostly recycled and natural materials, well insulated for year round stay. By bike 10 minutes away from the metro to amsterdam.
After 6 months of personally building both wagons I'm happy to introduce you to the farm and Tuinen van Hartstocht, my self-pick vegetable garden. Your stay makes is possible to continue and develop the small scale vegetable production, towards a profitable and serious alternative. In the building i aimed to make it both comfortable and ecologiccaly responsable. The result is a naturally insulated, build of recycled or very durable materials, tiny house, with a seperate wagon with compolette and hot shower. Be welcome!
Wintertime notice: in the (rare) case of frost, the pipes to your running water and shower will freeze, so you are welcome to take your water and showers in our communal area, 50 meters away from the house.
You are staying on a very diverse dairy farm. Next to about a 150 cows and calves, there are horses, compost making and compost heating systems, a small village of Yurts and a self-pick vegetable garden. Feel free to walk around and get inspired, but please take into account that you don't hinder the people of the farm in their work.
Although at work in the organic garden most of the time, I'm available for your questions most of the time.
The farm is situated on the countryside, next to the river Gein, a beatiful river. The view is Holland at it's best, with cows in the field and a windmill nearby. A popular area to discover by bike or by foot. Although we don't have internet on the farm, next door is a nice coffeplace (Anna Haen), open 7 days a week, with Wifi.
Take the train to Abcoude station. From there it is a 30 minute (though beatiful) walk
From amsterdam: Take the metro 54 to Gein and get out at the last station: Gein. From here it is also about a 30 minute walk.
To get here is a bit a walk, so i have bikes here for rent. With those it's only a 10 minute bikeride away to both metro and train station,
