The bunk room sleeps four and is basic so is only £25 pp. If you book all four beds then you have the room to yourselves. If you want to book 1,2 or 3 beds then you will probably share with some other nice travellers. It's accessed by a spiral staircase and then you have to duck under an arch to get in. The arch only has a curtain to close it off from the communal area and so it is noisy between 7am - 11pm.
Ancient and modern stylishly combine in this B&B set within a 19th century church in the mountain village of Capel Curig. The property doesn't offer cooking facilities but breakfast is served at a large communal table in the spacious kitchen on the mezzanine level giving a bird’s eye view of the church’s glittering mosaic ceiling. For refuelling in the evening, two pubs serving meals are in easy walking distance and there are good restaurants within a 10-minute drive. On a typical weekend, the B&B is full of walkers and climbers, families, writers, photographers, romantics … and there’s never a dull moment. This is a family home, with all the toys pets and friends that that involves. You’re likely to be greeted by Apollo the Great Dane, and the cat may want to curl up next to you on the sofa. But, if you’re not a dog person, let Alice know and she will keep him inside when you arrive. It’s also worth knowing that the atmosphere at St Curig’s at times can be that of a house party. And, because of the nature of the building, those lying-in may hear some noise in the morning from early risers keen to get out on the mountains. That said, all guests are asked to keep noise to a minimum after 11pm. By then most guests are ready for their beds and a good night’s sleep in preparation for another day out in Snowdonia…
