What a find. Such a beautiful location for our little break. Such friendly hosts. Everything was wonderful and our children are already asking when we can go back! Both Suzanne and Mark were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay so special 😊

Paul and Maggi were great hosts. They went out of their way to meet and greet me and were extremely helpful during my stay. I’ve stayed in many Airbnb properties but this one has to be one of my favourites. The location is very private and peaceful and I felt very relaxed during my stay. I’m sure I will return at some point.

Really really good stay. Enjoyed the use of the indoor and outdoor fires, especially under the stars and listening to the owls. Kathryn & Trevor have really used the space well and it feels very private. Trevor welcomed us from the beginning and was very friendly and showed us to the hut. Perfect weekend away to recharge and spend quality time with loved ones. Thank you for letting us stay in such a lovely peaceful space! Oh and the sheep are extremely friendly too!

I just want to say a big thank you to Jo and her dad for building a fully off grid shepherds hut that is beautiful inside and out. We booked very last minute due to an issue where we were camping, Jo quickly accepted our request and communicated with us in a prompt and friendly manner. We arrived at Jo’s hut at nearly 8pm and she went above and beyond making sure we were looked after and was waiting for us to show us the basics which was a lovely touch. The hidaway hut has been crafted in a way that you have everything you need should you forget anything. Jo is extremely friendly and attentive and will make sure you have a lovely stay! Although it was a short stay of only a few hours we had such a good nights sleep and will definitely be coming back in the future!

The place was absolutely immaculate. Peter greeted us on arrival very friendly and very helpful. When we got in the lodge we were amazed at how lovely it was the pictures didnt even do the place justice it was just amazing!! Would recommend to everyone!

I would 100% recommend this place. The hut itself was absolutely beautiful, very clean as was just as described. The hot tub and the garden area were lovely and a nice area to relax and socialise. The location was peaceful and tranquil. Carly as a host was lovely, she was responsive and answered all questions and queries. She also gave important information and recommendations. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

What a lovely find! Really peaceful, you feel like you are the only ones in the woods. Loads of wildlife to see and the bubbling creek was so soothing and picturesque. We had breakfast outside watching the fields opposite. The property had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable. Jordan was so lovely and very attentive, he was quick to assist answer any questions we had. The village is beautiful! We had dinner in The White Bear pub, food was gorgeous and the land lord was such a gent. All in all, a fantastic weekend away!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this shepherd's hut! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, offering plenty of great recommendations for things to do in the area. The location is idyllic and is nestled right by a peaceful lake. It was the perfect spot for some much needed relaxation. Despite feeling like a tranquil retreat, it’s only a short 20 minute drive to York city centre, which was so convenient. The hut itself was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a stunning setting. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

We had a lovely couple of days staying in Annie. So beautifully appointed and everything that we needed. The hot tub was most welcome after a long journey.

We had a wonderful stay with the two dogs. A perfect little get away. Moira was a great host. She really did think of every little thing you could possibly need. Would highly recommend staying here

The most stunning little cabin in the most peaceful patch of woodland - we had a magical time! Everything about the place was so well thought through, and was lovely in both the sunshine and the rain. Highlights were the outdoor shower which was lovely and warm and seeing a group of baby bunnies next to the hut! We hope to be back very soon!

Loved it! Attention to deal is so clever in the space, our dogs loved it too! Lovely little touches such as the bread and eggs, which tasted amazing! Really enjoyed it will be back in the future 😊

Lovely relaxing weekend spent here in mid March. Second visit after a few years gap and the return trip did not disappoint. Bruce is the perfect host, interesting and interested, a very warm and generous welcome - made to feel at home and then left to relax and unwind - exactly as I remembered from my first trip. Cosy wagon, comfortable bed, hot shower, incredible views. I would highly recommend a visit.

It's like glamping but with a very comfortable bed and so peaceful and pretty! Great to have it fenced off so dog has a free run ( btw he fell in love with the pig 😊). The amenities are basic but that's what the listing says, just make sure to read the full details. Maybe not the cheapest stay but love it contributes to supporting the sheep sanctuary too, money well spent that way. Added bonus only 15 min from beaches like Sandsend. Would love to visit again!

What a gem this place is, we had a wonderful stay at Shepherd's Watch! It was very clean, cosy, and relaxing. Lisa was on hand for everything we needed. The location is stunning and perfect for exploring all the nearby attractions. We could easily have spent longer here. Thank you for having us :)

Liz's place was clean, tidy, and had a beautiful set-up! I couldn't fault the hut or the hosts, absolutely wonderful if you want a relaxing get-away with beautiful facilities and scenery nearby. We would definitely recommend xx

What an amazing place.the wooden hot tub was perfect looking over the fields,the bed was so comfortable and leaving milk and a bottle for us to enjoy our time was the most thoughtful thing ever. Thank you can’t wait to come back

Had a fantastic stay in the shepherds hut. The host were super helpful, very communicative and friendly. The hut itself was fantastic, spacious and had a luxury feel to it. The hot tub was a welcome addition and lovely to relax in on an evening. Would highly recommend.
