The cabin is a light comfortable carefully designed and newly built Scandanavian style self-contained building with a complete kitchen, separate shower room and pull down Very comfortable Queen sized bed. It has a television with integral DvD player and heating under the wooden floor. Great Wi-fi, Contemporary lighting. Please note that hot water runs for 5mins very hot then takes 30 mins to reheat to same temp. Please don't change the settings as this will blow the thermostat.
The cabin is in my garden, with parking and just one minute fom the quay And it’s own private patio.. It is central to the shops and restaurants and bars in lovely Wells. Twenty minutes walk to the beach. I make sure that essentials like tea and coffee are available. The bed is made up and there are lots of towels. Shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid are also ready to go! The kitchen is well equipped for two guests.
Wells is lovely. The sea when the tide is up. Early mornings, the beach. The super independent shops, the pubs, cafes and delis. The ease of living in a small town with a bank, post office and friendly neighbours!

    Tania2019-10-18T00:00:00Z

The Summerhouse is a lovingly restored 1960s cedar wood holiday chalet on a quiet holiday chalet site just 8 minutes stroll to the beach. Up styled In 2019. Beautifully furnished in a vintage style and quirky style. Stuffed full of little things that will make you smile. Great reviews. Near great pubs and fabulous places to eat. No wifi - have a detox from your phone! Leave the rat race behind and have some peace...breathe, relax and recharge...
The Summerhouse is now in its 8th year of my ownership and there are now so many people who know how special this little place is. Families come back year after year to have a traditional, old fashioned holiday. Many children ask their parents to come back, couples come for the peace and quiet, and guests also come on their own to lap up the wonderful space. To unplug from busy lives. This makes me so happy as this was my vision when I bought the property. So get your buckets and spades ready! The site is still very quiet even in the summer, allowing you to sit under the willow tree and read that book you have been meaning to start. Children can run around and play, make dens, look at the stars in their PJs, play games and experience a wholesome traditional family holiday (without technology!), and a holiday that they will remember... The Summerhouse has undergone a spruce up and up style in 2019, freshly painted, new items of vintage furniture and with all the carpets professionally cleaned. Check out my sister chalet, newly renovated for the 2017 season, The Wendy House', can be booked together for larger group gatherings...stunning! It is also perfect for a romantic getaway for two...or just bliss for one! From November 1st until March 1st The Summerhouse turns into 'The Winter Cabin', faux fur throws, hand crochet blankets and the chalet dressed for winter. Magical for children, or a complete escape from the rat race for adults. Winter is a very special time to visit, desolate beaches, great pubs with open fires and not forgetting the thousands of geese that migrate to this area. Winter walks and rosy cheeks. The 'Winter Cabin', is on a very quiet site, you may be the only people who are in residence...this may not suit everyone, it is very dark! I love it as it all adds to the adventure and...you can see the stars. The chalet is heated by plug in electric oil heaters and is very snuggly...any questions please ask
Very quiet family owned site but with easy access to shops, bakery, butcher, great pubs, amazing beaches...and I mean amazing beaches and all that this part of Norfolk has to offer.

    Laura2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's plaats is erg lief.

Good value for money!

    Ingrid2019-07-07T00:00:00Z

Bedankt Wendy!

Ditch the car and explore Wells-next-the-Sea, staying in a stunning shepherd's hut. Cosy wood burner, deliciously comfy bed, en suite shower & WC, kitchenette, garden area, parking. Walk into town to see the working fishing boats, chic shops and fantastic restaurants. Or to the Coast Path and magical views over the salt marsh, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's become a treat to host special birthdays, anniversaries and mini-moons. COVID-19: No bookings from 23 March until next update
It has been a real labour of love to source and prepare the shepherd's hut for guests and I hope you enjoy the results. From the plants in the garden to the stylish crockery, everything is designed to create a pretty environment for you to relax in. The rural location gives you a sense of space and the hut has its own drive, parking and garden. Birds and butterflies thrive in the wooded dell, including the resident cuckoo. Sitting at the table inside, you'll see the trees silhouetted against the sunset as you eat an evening meal. In the sunny garden you can spread the day's newspapers out on the picnic bench, topping up coffee from the cafetiere. I also provide deck chairs for basking in the sun. The bed is deliciously comfortable and inviting. The en suite shower and taps have instant hot water. The wood burner is seriously effective and out of season you'll soon find that you're more than toasty. New for winter - heated towel rail in en suite! The hut is also insulated and double-glazed. We have mains water. The electricity is partially supplied by solar panel. I've found ways to provide you with nearly every comfort you'd expect in a normal self-catering property. The only differences are that heating is by the wood burner, cooking facilities are limited and there is currently no wifi or TV. However, the 4G reception is extra good (a by-product of the offshore wind farm) so you can still get online and stream videos. When there are lots of people on the campsite using their showers, the water pressure to the hut may sometimes run low, affecting the consistency of the hot water supply. Bed: Pocket sprung double bed with Cath Kidston duvet cover and hotel-quality towels, sheets and pillows. Storage for your clothes: baskets under the bed, a bespoke ottoman, lots of hooks, hangers. Dining table and chairs, digital radio, Bluetooth sound bar, kitchenette with gas camping stove, full size fridge with ice box. Door leading to en suite shower, washbasin and wc. Liquid soap, shower gel and moisturiser provided. Shelves and storage for your additional toiletries, shaving mirror. Garden: Picnic bench, garden bench, deck chairs to relax with a book and glass of wine, Weber BBQ. Parking: Designated car parking for one car. Heating: Wood burner. Also provided: Enough wood and kindling to get you started with the wood burner, gas for the camping stove and charcoal for the BBQ (more wood, gas canisters and charcoal for sale on-site), chocolate treats, milk, tea, coffee, sugar. We have no mains electricity, so the fridge and lights are powered by solar panel and leisure battery. I provide a 12v charger with various adapters so you can power your mobile etc but there is no TV, WiFi or microwave. I provide a gas-powered cordless curling tong. I used to provide a hair dryer but it was prone to trip the 12v system. Cooking: We have no oven but you can cook simple meals on the gas camping stove. Pans and cooking utensils provided. Keep the window open if you use it inside. You can also cook using the charcoal barbecue in the garden. Instructions and a couple of roasting recipes are in the guest information folder. There are also plenty of great restaurants, fish & chip shops and cafes plus good supermarkets, delis, bakery, butcher and fishmonger in Wells. Tea/coffee: Boil the kettle on the gas camping stove or wood burner. Tea, coffee, sugar provided.
Wells beach was named Sunday Times "Beach of the Year" in 2016 and it's not hard to see why. The wide open skies, the sense of freedom even on a busy summer's day, the sweep of colourful huts against the pine forest. Located one mile from the harbour, you can walk along the beach wall to get there, taking in the view of the channel lined with leisure boats and the salt marshes and sea beyond. You can also take the little narrow gauge train part-way there or there is a car park if you choose to drive. We have fantastic gastro pubs, fish & chip shops and cafes a short walk from the shepherd’s hut (I can make recommendations) and great independent retailers along Staithe Street. Or to find solitude and wildlife you don't have to walk far. Local OS map and walks books available for use by guests. Wells has a rich calendar for art and culture. Live theatre screenings with Screen-next-the-Sea, music and theatre at Holkham Hall and the annual festivals. Norwich attractions are an hour away. Sport: swimming pool at the school, sailing, tennis courts, park run at Holkham Hall, lots of great running and cycling routes on your doorstep. As well as the landscape, it's the lively community feel that makes Wells special - the historic fishing fleet landing the day’s catch on the harbour wall, the sailing club ‘sharpies’ racing out by the lifeboat shed, children ‘gillying’ for crabs, and the popular annual calendar of events, including Wells Carnival, Poetry-next-the-Sea, Wheels-next-the-Sea, the Pirate festival and the magical Christmas Tide.
  • Geweldige plaats !!!!

Alles was brandschoon.

Bedankt Dot :)

Crabpot cottage is 60-seconds from Wells harbour in the heart of the town. It is a snug, 200-years old fisherman's cottage; cosy living space, gardens and parking. Wood burner, central heating, washing machine and WiFi make it ideal for short breaks or weeks away.
Crabpot cottage comprises of a relatively compact kitchen (oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge, breakfast bar table and chairs, washing machine and dish washer) opening onto the garden and a cosy lounge - with woodburner. At the top of the (steep) stairs are two double bedrooms - two single beds and a double - and a bathroom. Bedding and towels are provided. In addition to the woodburner, the cottage is fully central heated. 200-years ago people were shorter so, while there is good ceiling height, the door frames are LOW! It is a traditional self-catering holiday cottage, and the photos give a good impression of what the cottage is like. It works especially well for families or couples who want to enjoy the delights of a Norfolk rural/coastal small town and fishing port.
Wells-Next-The Sea is a bustling seaside town during the summer but becomes a quite haven during the winter months: very popular with walkers and bird watchers. The town offers numerous good places to eat, to drink and to shop! The local area offers a wide variety of scenery and other attractions.

There is good beer and food available throughout the day at the Jolly Sailor's pub, or for more of a treat with stunning views and delicious food there's the White Horse overlooking the marshes.Next to Brancaster Staithe is Burnham Deepdale which has a Norman church, a visitors centre and a good selection of shops, including a small supermarket, petrol station, Fat Face and Gone Crabbing. At its centre is a large village green surrounded by striking Queen Anne and Georgian buildings, with 2 churches that lie at each end of its broad main street. There are some great places to eat, the best being the renowned Hoste Arms which is a 17th Century old coaching house and is open all day. As a result Burnham Market attracts many celebrities and cosmopolitan visitors, getting very crowded in the holiday periods, earning the nickname “Chelsea-on-Sea.” There is an annual summer music festival with professional musicians entertaining residents and holiday makers in various venues such as the lovely church of Burnham Westgate at the western edge of the village. We have 5 friendly Mups n Pups! Fireman's Cottage was built in 1623 and sits in the grounds of Hunstanton Hall and Park. The grounds are only open to the public on Thursdays and even then people must be on foot and keep to the top roadway. A 14th Century moat runs through the garden, separating the cottage from Hunstanton Hall Tranquility in an idyllic location! Such peace and quiet to hear and see wildlife: Muntjac deer, Buzzards, Owls etc The Norfolk coast is a big draw for birdwatching
PLEASE READ carefully :) ... Within these historic walls reside 5 friendly, furry DOGS/pups. Because we are aware that our communal hallways/landings are dog/puppy runways and therefore far from immaculate, we are not fussy about people entering these areas in their shoes; nor do we wish to be judged as such, especially as we are forewarning people. If a completely spotless environment is what you require, then our humble abode will not suit your style :) This is very much a traveller's place for rest and respite, a living home, not a glamourous hotel. The Eves bedroom is on the 2nd floor which has a lovely view through the velux window. The room has a Kingsize bed, single wardrobe for hanging space and drawer space in bedside tables. There are two solid oak high stools to sit and look out of the window as well as a small armchair underneath a reading spotlight. There is also a desk and computer table where a laptop could be used. There are no kitchen/cooking facilities but a fridge and electric kettle are provided along with cups and saucers and drinking glasses, and the use of a microwave could be made available along with dishes and cutlery, but the guest(s) would be responsible for their own washing-up. A sponge-cloth, washing liquid and a teatowel are provided in the bathroom. The bathroom is next door to the bedroom for the sole use of the guest(s). There is a DVD player and we can offer a small selection of films etc to borrow. We can also provide some board games which can be requested upon arrival (Scrabble, Backgammon, Monopoly etc). Because of the nature of the location, guests must respect the privacy of the other properties and residents and not go wandering around. Please take note again: 5 friendly dogs live here. We can accommodate a guest dog with prior discussions, because of our gang and the bedroom generally being kept dog-free:) 1 mile walk to the beach, door to dunes. Motorbikes and bicycles can be securely parked
Although the area is named as Hunstanton Park, it is privately owned by the Le Strange Estate, who equally own Old Hunstanton beach. There are a few residents in the surrounding dwellings who, like us, own their own properties including sections of the roadway, it is the woods and farmland that the Estate own. There is an incredible amount of fascinating history surrounding the area. The village of Old Hunstanton originates from the 13th Century. It is divided by the coast road. The Cottage being on the side of the original village, duck pond, 14th Century Church and the Hall of course. The village has places to eat and drink:- Caley Hall Hotel, The Lodge, The Ancient Mariner, Le Strange Arms Hotel and The Neptune (Michelin star restaurant). There is also the Post Office/village shop and The Old School Hairdressers/Barbers and Beauticians. The beach is approximately 15 minutes walk from door to the dunes across the golf course. There is the lovely Old Boat Cafe by the beach, opposite the RNLI station Old Hunstanton beach is fantastic for sunsets, walks and joins onto the RSPB sanctuary and Nature Reserve.. The Victorian town of Hunstanton is just round the corner, with local shops, supermarkets, garage and services etc.

Philip's place is located in Holme-next-the-Sea, England, United Kingdom. You are staying a few minutes walk from Holme Beach - at the last house on Beach Road (the original Peddars Way) - so can swim in the sea at dawn, during the day, at dusk or even by the starlight. Walk with your dog for miles. You'll be right by the Norfolk Coastal path, Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve, the Bird Observatory and the Hunstanton Golf Club championship links course. You can hear the sea from your front door. We are in a Special Site of Scientific Interest (SSSI) and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), where the Wash meets the North Sea. It's a couple of minutes to the Norfolk Coastal path - so walkers walk to Thornham, Brancaster or further and hop back on the bus which drops you at the top of Beach Road on the A149. You'll soak in the dunes, marsh and sea - or walk along the Hun river and see resident and migrating birds. You could also hear the natterjack toads and see butterflies, moths and dragonflies, as well as a large number of interesting plants including mulleins flowering in our wild garden. If you are a golfer, you can play Hunstanton Golf Club's superb championship links course. It's 125 years old and rated as one of Britain & Ireland's 'Top 100' courses, with the rolling fairways nestling in a stunning landscape of dunes and links grassses. You can also play at the Heacham Manor. If you secure a round at the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club at Brancaster, you'll need to park your car and walk when the tide is high. Various military remains from WWII can be seen at Holme, including the remains of a target-railway used to train artillery. Much earlier remains have also been discovered including an ancient walkway, Roman pottery and saxon fishtraps. In 1998, a well-preserved Bronze Age timber circle, now known as ‘Seahenge’ was uncovered by high tides. The timbers were treated in the Mary Rose laboratory and are now in the museum at King's Lynn. King's Lynn was a Hanseatic town - and is worth a visit. Seahenge 2 is difficult to discern - and often covered by sand. Walk to the cliffs at Hunstanton for fossil hunting and to see one of 2 boat wrecks easily visible at low tide. The other is on Holme Beach between Gore Point and the Firs. Birdwatchers may see wintering thrushes on the sea buckthorn, or avocets, a beautiful black-and-white wader with upturned bill and long legs, on the freshwater. Wheatears and warblers are common in spring and finches and thrushes in the autumn - sometimes there'll be scarcer migrants such as the ring ouzel, wryneck, yellow-browed warbler or barred warbler. It's a great place to seawatch for gannets, skuas, terns and divers. Knot, golden plover and oyster catchers can be seen on the beach. Our wild garden is alive - with our sparrows and starlings nesting in the roof. It makes the front door and the bench a little untidy sometimes! If they have a safe migration, you will also hear the cuckoos in spring and the turtledoves in summer. ✯ 2019: Cuckoos arrived safely - and one is still calling in July. ✯ The turtledove have safely arrived from their perilous migration. You'll hear their distinctive purring and may be lucky enough see them too. ✯ On warmer nights, the Natterjack toads call. ✯ This is the only part of the east coast of England where the sun sets over the sea, providing lovely views in both summer and winter. Our favourite places to see the sunset are a stroll up the coastal path to Gore Point, or a few minutes over the golf course to a seat on the top of dunes. Great communication and everything was so easy, from check in to departure. The studio is comfortable, cosy and absolutely gorgeous, even better than the photos!" "Delightful accommodation in a lovely setting and perfect location. If you are looking for a place that has the feeling of being miles from anywhere but which has a pub/restaurant and bus stop a shortish walk away, this is for you. A longer walk along the beach will provide you with even more choice of places to eat and drink. Truly ‘the best of both worlds’." "A real gem! Very cosy and comfortable accommodation in a brilliant location. Spotlessly clean with plenty of throws and personal touches to make you feel at home and welcome. The host is friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely be returning." "Book this place now!! It was great, me and my girlfriend stayed here for one night and we really wish we had stayed longer! Location is quiet, right next to the beach, a 3 minute walk. We walked down to the beach last night and it was beautiful, empty and great. We didn't meet Ermine, but communication was fantastic, check in details were great and amenities are perfect. Book this place now, it's perfect." "We had a wonderful time in this lovely place - it has everything you need and beautiful coastal surroundings for exploring and walking. Ermine is a really thoughtful host and there are many thoughtful touches such as a well stocked bathroom cabinet, dresser stocked with teas and coffee and the microwave oven. If you need a peaceful getaway this is it!" ✯✯✯✯✯
