The Summerhouse is now in its 8th year of my ownership and there are now so many people who know how special this little place is. Families come back year after year to have a traditional, old fashioned holiday. Many children ask their parents to come back, couples come for the peace and quiet, and guests also come on their own to lap up the wonderful space. To unplug from busy lives. This makes me so happy as this was my vision when I bought the property. So get your buckets and spades ready! The site is still very quiet even in the summer, allowing you to sit under the willow tree and read that book you have been meaning to start. Children can run around and play, make dens, look at the stars in their PJs, play games and experience a wholesome traditional family holiday (without technology!), and a holiday that they will remember... The Summerhouse has undergone a spruce up and up style in 2019, freshly painted, new items of vintage furniture and with all the carpets professionally cleaned. Check out my sister chalet, newly renovated for the 2017 season, The Wendy House', can be booked together for larger group gatherings...stunning! It is also perfect for a romantic getaway for two...or just bliss for one! From November 1st until March 1st The Summerhouse turns into 'The Winter Cabin', faux fur throws, hand crochet blankets and the chalet dressed for winter. Magical for children, or a complete escape from the rat race for adults. Winter is a very special time to visit, desolate beaches, great pubs with open fires and not forgetting the thousands of geese that migrate to this area. Winter walks and rosy cheeks. The 'Winter Cabin', is on a very quiet site, you may be the only people who are in residence...this may not suit everyone, it is very dark! I love it as it all adds to the adventure and...you can see the stars. The chalet is heated by plug in electric oil heaters and is very snuggly...any questions please ask
Very quiet family owned site but with easy access to shops, bakery, butcher, great pubs, amazing beaches...and I mean amazing beaches and all that this part of Norfolk has to offer.

  • Wendy's plaats is erg lief. We kwamen aan toen het gazon werd gemaaid en de frisse geur van gras en de zee zo dichtbij herinnerde me aan mijn jeugd. Mijn jongens hielden van de wifi-blackout en brachten tijd door met het spelen van de vogelspellen en de geschenken van Wendy. Veel leuke details en geweldige service, zelfs tot hulp sturen als ik het fornuis niet kon werken! Geweldige plek bedankt!

  • Het Sumerhouse ligt weggestopt op een rustige, groene plek weg van de hoofdstrandweg. Er is veel ruimte voor kinderen om te spelen en het strand ligt op een zeer korte loopafstand. Wendy heeft het chalet prachtig ingericht met veel doordachte details, vooral voor kinderen! Het is perfect voor een gezellig klein uitje bij de zee!

  • We hadden een heerlijk verblijf in het zomerhuis met onze kleintjes. Het chalet is erg gezellig en heel schoon - een grote factor als je een kruipende baby hebt! De locatie is perfect en op korte loopafstand van vele bezienswaardigheden - met name het prachtige strand. We vonden Wendy's gids erg handig en de spellen waren geweldig toen het regende. Onze 6 -jarige was erg onder de indruk van de kleine details, zoals de chocolade op het kussen en de vlaggen van het zandkasteel. Het was onze eerste keer in Heacham en we vonden het geweldig. Local attractions include the nearby SeaLife centre, Funfair, the Wash Monster amphibious boat trips,, the Oasis swimming pool, Amusement arcades, 10 Pin Bowling, Pirate themed Crazy Golf and even a Theatre. There are long beaches with donkey rides, sand dunes, beach huts and water sports. When it comes to ice-creams, fish & chips and great pubs, you are spoilt for choice! Foodies will appreciate the numerous award-winning gastro-pubs in the villages close by. Some of our favourites include The Lodge in Old Hunstanton, The Gin Trap Inn in Ringstead, The Orange Tree in Thornham, The Rose & Crown in Snettisham and The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe. This is a beautiful walk/bike ride of undulating ground. Happy Valley houses a variety of natures greats such as black darter dragon fly, birds of prey, deer, pheasants, butterfly as plenty, rare long eared bats, Nightjar and bees. A heron often sits on the pond eye up its dinner. Grimston Warren and Roydon common sit on the edge of Grimston which are beautiful Heathland Restoration projects house a rich mosaic of habitats. - Bring your bikes, great trails through the woods- Spoilt by lots of award winning gastro pubs close by and 20-30 mins to incredible north Norfolk beaches if you fancy a day there.   • We hadden een fantastisch verblijf Happy Valley. Onze Shepherd's hut was absoluut prachtig - zo goed schoongemaakt, ingericht en onderhouden en we hadden absoluut alles wat we nodig hadden. We konden 's morgens koffiekan koffie en spekbroodjes maken en er waren afwasvoorzieningen beschikbaar om op te ruimen. Happy Valley heeft zoveel doordachte aanrakingen, het is een glamping-droom. Een warme douche, schone toiletten, bakken, een houtgestookte hot tub waar we enorm van genoten, keukenfaciliteiten voor koken op een kookplaat, een barbecue en keukengerei, een kolenvuurplaats in de buurt van onze hut en een openhaard in de cabine zelf. Katy gaf ons suggesties voor nabijgelegen eetgelegenheden en activiteiten waarmee we rekening gehouden en over het algemeen hadden we een geweldig, eenvoudig en zeer aangenaam verblijf

  • Ik zou een bezoek aan Happy Valley aanraden! Katy was erg gastvrij bij aankomst. Onze hut was echt schattig en voelde net als thuis, alles was mooi en ook schoon. De omliggende bossen zijn absoluut mooi, zeer rustig en ontspannend maar ook geweldig om te wandelen / fietsen! Het bubbelbad was ook geweldig. Ik zou het perfecte kleine uitje zeggen :)

  • Ik heb deze hut voor mijn moeder geboekt als een geschenk. Katy was briljant en had contact met me, dus ik kon het een verrassing blijven. Mijn moeder was echt heel blij en is sindsdien niet blijven praten. Ze zei dat het bubbelbad geweldig was en dat de uitzichten en lange wandelingen een droom waren door al het bos, enz.

    Open plan with high ceilings and wooden floor throughout, the annex boasts a comfortable double bed, lounge area including a new high quality double sofa bed and a kitchen area. The large bathroom features a walk in waterfall shower. The kitchen area is equipped with a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and fridge. We provide continental breakfast supplies and tea, coffee and milk free of charge. (Please note there is not a cooker or hob.) The annexe also has a tv with sky + (including sky sports) and free wifi (wifi can be a bit intermittent at times-but we are working on this!) Gas centrally heated. Twin double French doors open out onto the garden. We also have a travel cot and highchair available for younger guests! The annexe is all on one level, making it ideal for guests with poorer mobility.
    We are situated 3 miles from Kings Lynn, a thriving town which has firm links in maritime history and has plenty of beautiful historic buildings surrounding the quayside. It is an ideal destination to spend some time enjoying a mix of history, shopping and entertainment in a vibrant town centre. We are also within 15 minutes of the stunning north Norfolk coast, The Queens residence at Sandringham house and Castle Rising medieval castle. Slightly further afield you can explore the RSPB wetlands at Titishall, Walsingham shrine, Peddars way, the city of Norwich and the Norfolk Broads among the many other attractions for which Norfolk is known. We are also within 2 miles of Kings Lynn golf club, one of the top 100 courses in the country. Our home is conveniently situated near the north Norfolk cycle route and also within walking distance of 2 traditional pubs, a fish and chip shop and a Tesco express.

    Barn Cottage is less than 2 miles from Royal Sandringham and is centrally located to reach the towns and beautiful beaches of West and North Norfolk. The property sleeps 2 in a double bed so is ideal for a couple or single traveler. The property is on a main bus route from Kings Lynn to the coast. We have a direct route by train from London Kings Cross to Kings Lynn. We have many walks from the property and the Snettisham RSPB bird reserve is a direct route. Dersingham has local shops & pubs.
    The cottage is completely self contained as an annex to the owners property. It is bright clean and tidy, with velux windows in the 1st floor living space allowing light to flood in.
    The village has all local amenities, 2 pubs, 2 cafe's, 2 supermarkets, doctors, pharmacy, garden centre. We have a newsagents and supermarket with ATM within 5 mins walk of the property.

  • Mooi klein huisje in Dersingham. Het heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een weekendje of langer. Hoewel we geen tijd hadden om een van hen uit te proberen, vond ik het leuke aanrader van voorgestelde lokale wandelingen waar je niet in de auto hoeft te komen! Bedankt voor het maken van ons verblijf erg gemakkelijk en stressvrij! Ik hoop dat de volgende keer niet zo'n geweldig bezoek zal zijn.

    Heacham South Beach is a quiet seaside community near Hunstanton on the Norfolk coast. The area is home to the Queen's residence, Sandringham House, hence the name "Royal Coast". The village itself is set in rolling lavender fields and boasts spectacular sunset views across The Wash. The famous striped cliffs of the seaside town of Hunstanton 3 miles away can be reached along the coastal path. Sea Lavender holiday caravan is on a grassy site which has been run by the same family for many years. There are no noisy clubhouses or children's play areas. Migratory birds fly overhead to the RSPB reserve at Snettisham. Our site is on the beach road. It has a store which is open from early to late. The nearby village has grocery stores, pubs, restaurants, fish and chip shop, takeaways, Tesco Express, a doctor's surgery, chemists and a veterinary practice. Heacham is perfect for dog-walking on its local sandy, dog-friendly beaches and country footpaths. We hielden van een bezoek aan prachtige stranden op slechts een klein eindje rijden. Joanne was geweldig om mee om te gaan. Zal weer terug komen als ik in het gebied ben.

De eigenaren lieten ons een beetje kleine traktaties voor onze aankomst - een fles bubbly en een geweldige citroen drizzle cake. Het duurde niet lang!

The afternoon terrace has an outside bath over looking the park of Fring Hall and the evening sunset. It is a magical retreat for couples to enjoy, walks through the park to the sunset mound for the last light are unmissable.
    Fring is a small village just tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. The famous Pedders way runs through the estate and all the way to the coast running past pubs and through open fields which makes a lovely day out. There are numerous footpaths to explore and bikes can be rented to go further afield. My Favorite Places I really recommend heading to the beaches and the coastal pubs – there are lots of them and they are really all within 15 mins drive. Loads of swanky pubs and amazing food – just driving along the coast road is a great way to find them and see the beaches etc… (5 miles )Brancaster Beach for long walks, also two great pubs - Jolly Sailors and White Horse in Brancaster Staithe. (8 miles) Holkham Beach for beauty, Also an amazing pub (The Victoria) along with Holkham Hall which is a Palladian Mansion. (6 miles)Burnham market – beautiful market town with Shops and a great pub – The Hoste. (4 miles) Pub; The Duck at Stanhoe – some of the best food in Norfolk but more a restaurant than pub. (3 miles) Pub; The Rose and Crown in Snettisham – UK pub of the year 2015 and my closest. There is also a nice walk around there if you want – type in Snettisham walks and you will find a map. (4 miles) Pub: The Gin Trap in Ringsted. This can be reached on foot along Pedders Way and is approximately 4 miles. Other wild beaches – Thornham + great pub the Orange Tree Holme beach Old Hunstanton Beach. Nearest shop: The Spar in Docking – open 6am-10pm everyday and can get you all your basics. The CO-OP in Snettisham. Supermarkets – Hunstanton Tescos or Dersingham CO-OP. Local country store – Bircham Country Stores (check if open)

Ik heb trouwens de instructie niet kunnen downloaden. Toen ik op de site aankwam, werd de website van Airbnb niet beschikbaar, ongeacht de reden. Dat was verwoestend omdat ik buiten in een zeer ijskoude toestand moest zijn. Toen moest ik de gastheer vragen om beschikbaar te zijn. Hij liet me vriendelijk op enigerlei wijze zijn zonder enige negatieve uitdrukking. Ik bedank hem voor zijn gastvrijheid.

    Heacham South Beach is a quiet seaside community near Hunstanton on the Norfolk coast. The area is home to the Queen's residence, Sandringham House, hence the name "Royal Coast". The village itself is set in rolling lavender fields and boasts spectacular sunset views across The Wash. The famous striped cliffs of the seaside town of Hunstanton 3 miles away can be reached along the coastal path. Sea Breeze holiday caravan is on a grassy site which has been run by the same family for many years. There are no noisy clubhouses or children's play areas. Migratory birds fly overhead to the RSPB reserve at Snettisham. Our site is on the beach road. It has a store which is open from early to late. The nearby village has grocery stores, pubs, restaurants, fish and chip shop, takeaways, Tesco Express, a doctor's surgery, chemists and a veterinary practice. Heacham is perfect for dog-walking on its local sandy, dog-friendly beaches and country footpaths.   • Kathryn en Vaida waren uitstekende gastheren. De caravan was onberispelijk comfortabel, licht, schoon en had alle comfort om dat verblijf speciaal te maken. Alles was aanwezig, zozeer zelfs dat je alleen een tandenborstel hoefde te nemen. Het allerbelangrijkste bed was zeer comfortabel. Prachtige plek, 1 minuut naar een plaatselijke campingwinkel, 4 minuten naar pubs, restaurants en afhaalwinkels, 5 minuten naar het strand, 10 minuten naar Hunstanton. Doordachte details met ontbijt in de koelkast en vele andere persoonlijke details. Ik raad deze locatie ten zeerste aan en misschien moet ik niet zeggen dat voor het geval de plaats volgeboekt raakt en ik niet kan terugkeren. Je zult niet teleurgesteld worden, bedankt Kathryn en Vaida.

There is an electric oven and grill and a range of appliances including washing machine, 70/30 fridge freezer, toaster, kettle and microwave. The table and chairs seat six guests and a wall mounted boiler provides hot water (there is additional electric heating throughout the property). A large picture window at the rear offers distant views towards Hunstanton and of the iconic Water Tower. Outside: A double glazed door leads from the open-plan sitting room onto the balcony where you can easily seat two to three guests and enjoy sea glimpses and the west facing sunset. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a modern shower room, making this perfect for a couple or a family. Outside there's a rear enclosed courtyard garden ideal for dining al fresco. It is conveniently located in the Docking village, set back from the road, within walking distance to a village pub, shop, thriving fish & chip shop, children's playground and fishing lake. The charming Georgian village of Burnham Market, plus the beautiful coast at Brancaster and Thornham are only 10 minutes drive away. Dogs are not permitted
    Ground Floor Downstairs has been completely refurbished with an open plan spacious sitting and dining area with oak flooring, leading through into the kitchen. Cloak/utility room: hand basin, WC, chrome heated towel rail and a washing machine. Sitting area: lovely light and spacious area furnished in a contemporary style with a newly installed wood-burning stove and steps leading up the the new kitchen area. Outside Although there is no designated off-street parking spaces there are no parking restrictions in Docking village and it is usually possible to park nearby the cottage. At the back of the cottage is a fully enclosed walled courtyard garden which is paved, with a wooden picnic bench. There is a pathway from the side of the cottage with a wrought iron gate leading to the garden.
    Docking All roads in North Norfolk seem to lead to Docking. It's a busy village with an excellent small supermarket and post office, a fish and chip shop, blacksmith, village pub, a large village playing field, tennis court and bowling green. It also has its own weekly village market every Wednesday morning at The Ripper Hall between 9am and 1pm, where a great selection of local produce is available. On Mondays freshly cooked wood-fired pizzas are available from Bordolis outside Ripper Hall - delicious! Docking also has its own coarse fishing lake that is available on a day ticket basis. The village is perfectly placed for the North Norfolk Coast and its long, fine sandy beaches. Brancaster and The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club are about five miles away. There are two golf courses in Hunstanton, which is less than eight miles away. The Titchwell Bird Reserve, home to terns and waders is close by. The ultra fashionable Georgian village of Burnham Market, Sandringham and the market towns of Fakenham and King's Lynn are also nearby.

The Kitchen/Dining room is stylish and elegant providing comfortable seating for six. All the equipment needed for a fully self-catered stay is available including an electric hob, microwave, electric oven and fridge freezer. The dining area looks out onto a safe, secluded and enclosed back garden and patio. This is an ideal area for children to play, to enjoy the BBQ or sit and enjoy a drink. The luxurious bathroom is located downstairs and offers a bath with shower, WC and basin. Owl’s Hoot provides two quiet 1st floor bedrooms both with tasteful décor and comfortable beds. The master bedroom with a king size bed looks out over the quiet road. The second bedroom with two single beds looks over the back garden. Located in a small estate of similar properties only a 15-minute walk, or five-minute drive to north and south beach in Heacham and a good village pub and shop, this is a great spot to enjoy a relaxing holiday close to the coast.     Providence Cottage is a charming Victorian mid-terrace cottage, with many of the original features retained, and forms part of a row of four cottages. Perfectly located on the main road through the village of Snettisham, the cottage is close to local amenities and has easy access to pretty countryside walks. The cottage has a traditional feel with an open fire in the cosy sitting room, and a light and airy open-plan kitchen with dining area, and comfortably accommodates four people. Downstairs there is a family bathroom, and a utility room in what was the old scullery. From a latch door in the kitchen, the boxed-in Victorian staircase leads to the first floor where there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a cast-iron double bed, an original fireplace and overlooks the cottage style garden to the rear. The twin bedroom overlooks trees at the front of the property and is ideal for both children and adults. There is a wonderful dog-friendly enclosed garden with pretty planting and seating areas. Children will love the summerhouse, where they will find plenty of garden toys to keep them entertained. Providence Cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful beaches and many attractions of North West Norfolk - the RSPB Nature Reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell are close by, the Queen's residence at Sandringham House is only a short drive away and children will enjoy spending a day at Snettisham Park, a working farm on the outskirts of the village. There are two pubs in the village, one is the award-winning gastro pub The Rose and Crown, as well as a shop, tea room and restaurant. There is space at the front of the cottage for a small estate car, however there is not a dropped kerb, alternative on-street parking is available nearby.
  • Absoluut perfect. Ik kwam voor een zeilregatta en oorspronkelijk kwam mijn vrouw en 11 jarige dochter ook. Op het einde won de SAT-herziening, zodat ze thuis bleven. Het is jammer omdat ze het ervan zouden hebben gehouden. In het geval dat ik een bed aan een mede-matroos kon bieden en we elke dag op en neer naar de club liepen.     Katherine and John bought Rose Cottage as a project and have rennovated it as a getaway from the ratrace, hope you like it too. The cottage is cosy in winter and cool in summer, newly rennovated with all mod. cons, so a luxury bathroom, new kitchen, heating and woodburner. Ideal for a couple with dogs (secure garden).
    There is a small parking space in front and bigger spaces nearby. There is a utility room for boots and muddy dogs.
    Just a walk to the Gin Trap Inn, General Store and Garden Nursery. 2 miles to Holme beach. A short drive to Norfolk Lavender for gifts and farm-shop, some great pubs and restaurants and some amazing beachs, walks, bird-watching.
