  • Anamarcela's home is beautiful!! The pictures are just as advertised! Breakfast was fresh fruit, coffee and toast- sufficient. There was a small problem during my stay and they were very helpful and moved things around for me. She also offered her parking spot for me to park the rental car... Good experience

  • Anamarcela was a wonderful host. She was fun to talk to and her place was beautiful. We especially loved the private outdoor bathroom attached to our room. It was great that it was a walk away from a few restaurants. Lovely place to spend our first night in Nicaragua!

  • Lovely place to stay in Managua and Anamarcela was as kind, helpful and friendly a host as I've ever met so far in my travels. The pool was well maintained and provided a refreshing escape from Managua heat. Rooms were clean and comfortable lounge area/patio was awesome with lots of kitchen accessories, not that I cooked much. Was very happy I stayed there and will certainly stay again on my return through Managua. Gracias por todo Ana.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Anamarcela's place. The house is beautiful, the room big and clean. Communication was easy and I felt very welcomed there. They also offered a ride to the airport for only USD 8.

    Tanja2016-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Anamarcela did an awesome job with communication months before our arrival but not so well just days before our arrival because she took a trip to Canada and I guess her family (those left to run the business) weren't instructed to watch for communications. Lucky enough for us, Anamercela, did respond hours before our arrival but I was a bit nervous prior because we needed guidance on how to find the place. (Hidden by Airbnb) maps doesn't work with the address she lists. Our Managua taxi driver couldn't find the location either and circled the block three times trying to find it. Then I had to search for someone to check us in and that person didn't speak any English. Anamarcela's daughters were around so the worker was able to go get help. The room itself is okay. The main bed is very firm so it wasn't very comfortable for my wife and I. The bunk bed are more comfortable. We only stayed here during the day to wait for our night flight home so it was go enough for that but it would have been nice to be able to get a nap. The pool there is great! It's a wonderful way to cool off from the heat. There no (or they are really hard to find) small markets or cheap food stalls you usually find in Nicaragua near this location. There is a mall that has a food store but it's adventure finding it. (Hint... it is near the food court). There is a small kitchen area you can use to cook food and a fridge. The fridge was packed full so space can be limited. Also, I had previously coordinated to have a ride arrange for our trip to the airport. Those left in charge had no idea of this and I was informed they no longer had a driver. They were willing to call me a taxi so it worked out but it would have been nice had they known about this arrangement.

  • Anamarcela is a wonderful and sweet host. She is very caring and this shows clearly by how she keeps her hotel. She lives on the property and is available to help 24 hours a day. She will also make sure to advise on day trips and parts of the island to visit so you can maximize you time. She will also sacrifice her day to make sure you can see and visit the countries hot spot. She is a do it all amazing host. The room you see on the site is actually the room I stayed and I loved it. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. I will definitely stay at Anamarcela's again.

  • Hotel La Tora is an amazing little urban oasis in the middle of central Managua. Anamarcela is a wonderful host and has worked so hard to create a beautiful, welcoming & relaxing space for her guests. From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt right at home and really enjoyed sitting in the common area getting to know other guests, taking a refreshing swim, or listening to Ana's beautiful guitar playing & singing. Our room was cozy & clean, and the indoor/outdoor bathroom is a really cool feature! Ana was so helpful in giving us local knowledge about the area & country, which we really appreciated! This is definitely going to be our go-to place whenever we stay in Managua!

  • Annamarcela was a wonderful and very warm host. Her place is located in an amazing location in the city of Managua where you can walk to most places or take a quick taxi ride. She will also help you discover how beautiful Managua's neighboring cities are. I would def stay with Annamarcela again if I get the chance to return to Nicaragua.

  • Anamarcela is a very gracious and tireless hostess. She was there to accommodate me as soon as I arrived , and was up early to make sure I had everything for my departure. The room was spacious and comfortable. It had a fan and a cooler for food items. I really liked the bathroom and outdoor porch area. The common spaces were beautiful, especially the pool. I would definitely come back again.

Metrocentro is the more centric area in Managua. We are right in the back of Metrocentro Mall, where you will find supermarkets, stores, food court. From the second floor you can see the pool and Metrocentro Mall. The room offered in this listing has a view of Metrocentro from the window.
In our place you will be close to the best restaurants and night clubs in Managua. Close to the bus Station to Masaya, Granada and Leon. Close to us there are also many clinics with medical atention,If you want to take advantage of your trip and you want to visit a specialist doctor, or perform some kind of treatment, we can help you find the right specialist. Near us there are specialists of all medical specialties. Since most of the population in Nicaragua is concentrated in the Pacific, almost all populations are relatively close. Many of the tourist attractions can be visited on the way to major tourist destinations, for example, while traveling to San Juan del Sur, you can visit the Chocoyero Reserve, the Masaya volcano, Masaya, Granada, the Mombacho volcano, The White Villages, Apoyo Lagoon or Catarina View. If your time is not extensive but you really want to take advantage of your stay, we can design a trip according to your needs and take you to your tourist destination while we travel. On the way to Leon is the Leon Viejo Museum, the Momotombo volcano, which recently erupted after a century of inactivity. It is also possible to make a stop at the hot springs of San Jacinto, where the children of San Jacinto sell their crafts in mud or provide you with fresh red mud from the boiling water, perfect for rheumatic, dermatological, purifying treatments or simply to enhance your beauty.. Eat some delicious quesillos in La Paz Centro, which is a local mozzarella style cheese, wrapped in a corn tortilla, stuffed with an onion salad and topped with cream. Feel free to ask. If you are interested in buying handicrafts or leather shoes to take home, El Mercado Roberto Huembes is a good election to visit while you are in Managua.
The best and centric area in managua.

  • Anamarcela’s place is absolutely the best value in Managua. While it is called “Hotel La Tora” and I didn’t know before I booked if it would be like a hotel or like an Airbnb where you get to know the hosts, I was so happy to find that it is actually more like a huge house with a lobby and all en suite bathrooms. It is spacious, but maintains the personal touches and interactions of staying with hosts. She has thought of everything. As a frequent traveler, there were so many pluses in Anamarcela’s space that made staying there for an extended visit really comfortable. First of all, the wifi works well! I work online and use (Hidden by Airbnb) a lot and was able to get my work done. In terms of location, there is a mall with ATM’s and a supermarket and a food court just around the corner, as well as various local restuarants where you can have seafood for a nice dinner, a coffee shop for breakfast, or local dishes like grilled meats. Despite being so close to everything, the layout of the house feels very tranquil and apart from the hustle and bustle, so you can feel at home and rested. The pool is great and someone comes regularly to clean it. The common seating and breakfast area is around the pool in a large “L” shaped covered patio, and a cool place to spend hot afternoons, talk to other guests or find a quiet corner to read or work. Anamarcela actually built so much of this place herself, and she has built it with an artistic eye. In the larger rooms, the bathrooms open up to little gardens and are private but also incorporate nature into the house. If you can swing the small extra cost, these rooms are worth it! Everything was clean and they are constantly doing maintenance. The mattresses were new and comfortable. The doors to the rooms lock with keys, so if you have something valuable with you you can keep it locked up. Breakfast was very good and is worth adding on. If she makes ginger lemon pancakes while you visit you are very lucky. The neighborhood is safe and there are several government buildings on the street, and a police station around the corner. There are taxis everywhere and easy to find. Anamarcela is also sometimes available to take you to your next destination, (just ask) She stops along the route showing you the sites, so instead of going straight to the next place, the journey is more like a sight seeing trip. We went to Ometepe and Masaya on the way to my next destination (Diriamba/Jinotepe) and had a great time driving up. But the very best thing about staying here is Anamarcela and her family. It would be impossible to find better hosts and you can tell they genuinely enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Being well-traveled themselves, they are very open and just all around...

  • The place is gorgeous, you step into a colorful, vibrant, peaceful setting and know you found a good place. I stayed with my boyfriend for one night. We booked from ometepe and after communicating with anamarcela I was just about to book when the WiFi died everywhere we went on the island. Fortunately, it came back on the ferry to the mainland and she kept our room. The room is large, the bed very comfortable. No ac but two fans kept us cool. Private outdoor waterfall shower!!! Plus a pool and outdoor bar area. Absolutely a must go if she has vacancies. Her family is friendly and happy. The other guests are happy and personable. A small light breakfast was included. She is close to many restaurants and shops.

  • I loved it here! Anamarcela and her family made me feel welcome and the place was fantastic. It was far better than the pictures depict. It is rustic bohemian paradise. My room was amazing. I stayed in Winter 1. It has a double bed with mosquito net, fan, and Ana's decorative touches all around. My private bathroom was a real garden bathroom with rock walls, mosaic floors, a dual-flush toilet, and Ana's creation- a hand-made waterfall shower-head. Sure she could have just put a regular shower-head there, but then you would not have been here and this would not be a place so well loved and artistically crafted. There is no place left untouched by Ana (or at least won't be soon). She is a true artist. Oh...and did I tell you about the private screened in courtyard off of my bedroom. It was a great place to sit and dry off after my shower. Once again, walls lined in rock and live plants with fresh breezes blowing through. I found that the pool is a great place to cool off very quickly. I took a night swim one night and found that I didn't need to use my fan as I slept. The pool is always cold even on the hottest days and of course Ana has put her touches on it too (hint hint... check out the waterfall). When I video called my family and showed them where I was staying, there were 2 questions. First: Are you sure you're coming home? Second:How did you find this place? For the price, the comfort, the introduction to Managua, and the decoration this is an extremely great value. I just happened to come during a time when I was the only guest and I must say that I was truly happy I was. I got to get the much needed rest and relaxation I had been wanting and needing. To Anamarcela and your wonderful family, Thank You for sharing your home with me. Thank You for sharing your life stories with me, for playing games with me, for teaching me the history of Managua, for taking me out to the festival, for being at the airport when I arrived to pick me up on time (even though my flight landed early), and for being a good host and great introduction to life in Nicaragua. I loved every minute of it including learning Spanish from the teenagers and your brother. I wish you all all the best!

    Tina2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Ana's was a great experience. The house is amazing with lots of arty touches and a beautiful pool. Breakfast is provided and Ana not only picked me up from the airport but took me to the bus station and put me on the bus the next day! I am definitely going to stay here again when I return to Managa! I highly recommend!

    Rebecca2016-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Anamarcela was very nice! She came pick us up from the airport ($4 each) which was very helpful! The room was clean and nice and you get coffee in the morning. There is a shopping mall nearby, like 5 min walk. But they recommend not to walk around at (Website hidden by Airbnb) a nice house to chill out in.
