TrollSplinter Land is your own private camp spot on the Olympic coast. Located on Cedar Creek, that feeds into beautiful Ruby Beach, TrollSplinter Land is 20 acres of raw coastal forest. Fish the creek, hunt for mushrooms, or just use it as base camp while enjoying the Olympic Natl Park. Minutes from Kalaloch, beach 3 and 4, and a 3 mile drive or walk to Ruby Beach. This is rugged land, often wet, and not for those looking for luxury and comfort. The only running water is the creek itself.
For those ready to rough it, this camp has unrivaled Olympic Coast privacy. This raw, 23 acre parcel is situated on Cedar Creek, which finishes it's course among the sea stacks of Ruby Beach. Short on comfort and long on beauty, this a great spot for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts, and folks that don't mind hauling their creature comforts along with them. It is possible to drive straight into camp in a vehicle with basic off road abilities, otherwise it's a short walk to camp. There is no electricity, running water, or walled structures. Creek water must be boiled or filtered for drinking, or you can bring water in with you. There is equipment to aide in open fire cooking, and two designated fire areas.
There are a few neighbors, but folks stick to their own parcels. It is unlikely you will see anybody while driving in, but you'll pass a handful of broken down cars and the usual country decor. Cedar Creek rd. is home to a special breed that's rough around the edges but great people. You may hear gun shots, but doesn't happen too often and almost never happens for long. All it takes is a smile and a wave to be polite if you see folks.
