Mountain
“If you are fit and have the mindset that you can do it it is only a 6 hour hike to the summit. However ascent is best in summer but you still need good shoes, warm clothing, gloves for hand protection and 3 litres of water. In winter specialist equipment must be taken. Your intentions should always be recodred and never go up the mountain alone.”

“The Coastal Walkway runs right along the foreshore from the Port close to the Cabin along the city front out to the outer suburbs of Bell-Block. Te rewa rewa bridge is a beautiful photo opportunity just north of Fitzroy Beach. On a clear day you can take a photo with the mountain as your backdrop on the bridge which makes a stunning pic.”
