History Museum
“The museum is really interesting and represent all ages from Illyrian times to the Ottoman. The ticket for the Roman Ampitheatre should also be valid for here. The collection consists of archeological items recovered from the Durres area and it is focused on three periods: the Ilyrians, the Hellenistic period and the Romans. It is now labelled in English throughout. There are many beautiful objects which justify a visit here if you are in town.”

“Styled as a cafe-museum, this little bohemian place looks like a flea market. Every spare centimetre is crammed with communist-era relics, farming implements (those pitchforks hanging from the bar are probably a warning), Japanese fans, old clocks and so on. It's certainly a memorable spot for a coffee or one of 25 varieties of raki, the local fruit-based spirit.”
