Landmark
“Bearing a significant resemblance to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, this bright orange tall radio tower was built in 1958 to symbolize the country's recovery after the destruction of World War Two. Rising up to 333 meters, Tokyo Tower used to be the tallest tower in Japan until the completion of Tokyo Skytree in 2012. You can choose to take the elevator or walk up 600 steps to the main deck, located 150 meters above the ground. If you are lucky, on sunny days you can even catch a glimpse of Mt. Fuji rising in the distance. If you are not afraid of heights, try standing on the glass floor sections and look directly down to the ground—almost 145 meters under your feet. ”

Shopping Mall
“The building, located just across the street from Shibuya Station, opened in April 1979. The architect was Minoru Takeyama. Tokyu, the building's operator, designed the building as a "Fashion Community" containing small retail stores targeting the early-30s female consumer. Tokyu intended the store to compete with Seibu Department Stores, which was making inroads into the Shibuya area. 開業当初は20代後半から30代の女性に人気でしたが、現在では店内のほとんどが10代後半から20代前半の女性の支持を集めるショッピング施設!「マルキュー」の略称で呼ばれ親しまれ、渋谷のランドマーク!”

History Museum
“The Tokyo Metropolitan Edo-Tokyo Museum opened its doors in March 1993 as a space to reflect on the history and culture of Edo-Tokyo and envision the city and life of the future. Housed in a unique building modeled after an elevated-floor type warehouse, the museum has been a landmark and popular tourist attraction in Tokyo since its opening. The permanent exhibition, showcasing original objects and replicas, offers visitors a journey through the 400-year history of Edo-Tokyo since Tokugawa Ieyasu entered Edo. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum holds special exhibitions at the first-floor gallery five to six times a year and carries out various other events, including lectures and workshops on the history and culture of Edo-Tokyo. We hope that the museum can be Tokyo’s center for the creation of new culture and a place of respite for visitors. Special Exhibition Samurai – Peacekeeping Contributors in Edo Period 2019.09.14(Sat)〜2019.11.04(Mon) Opening time: Sun 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM Tue - Fri 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM Sat 9:30 AM - 7:30 PM”

Ramen Restaurant
“Ichiran is a chain, but it is arguably the best one in Japan so it is worth mentioning here. The secret to its success is perhaps the spicy powder and the flour-based noodles made by Ichiran itself. And the deep flavor of their soups is just irresistible. Going there is a fun experience not just for the ramen, but how you order it. Buy your ticket from the vending machine, then fill out an extensive order form about how you want your ramen. It's the most customizable ramen there is. You can choose the level of spiciness, the amount of garlic, the intensity of the dashi seasoning stock and much more! Forms are in English and Japanese.”
