Established in 1846 and extending over 36 hectares, these gardens are one of the finest examples of Victorian-era landscaped gardens in the world, and have an amazing display of plants from around the world, including rare and threatened species. For kids, there is the Ian Potter Foundation Children’s Garden where kids can play in the ruin garden, meeting place, wetland area, bamboo forest, gorge, plant tunnel, rill and kitchen garden. A great place to chill.
