The park has minimal parking and going through the entrance can take awhile, but anytime you go it will be well worth the trip.

On a clear night, visitors will be able to gaze on thousands of stars, as well as galaxies, constellations, nebulae, and planets. They even have telescopes to use and it's FREE!

18113 Upper Hoh RdJust a little West of Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls is beautiful. A short hike through the lush forest winding along the river where you will find the falls. You even get the rain forest feel like the Hoh Rain forest. Fantastic place to visit and experience nature.
On your way back, stop at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort and relax in one of their three Mineral Hot Spring soaking pools.

Mora RdA beautiful park! Hiking trails through the campgrounds above the ocean and trails to an old abandoned military installation. Awesome beach and great place to surf or just watch. Try and time your visit for low tide. During low tide there are large areas of tide pools on the sand and rocks where you can see crabs, sea anemones and other marine life.

A quick stop on the way out to Lake Crescent or the coast, Madison Falls is wonderful. Just an easy walk, maybe only a couple of hundred yards from the parking lot, to the falls. Great photo stop.

If its too crowded at the Dungeness Spit or Hurricane Ridge, check this place out. Fantastic, peaceful, easy walk through an old growth forest that takes you down to the rocky shore of the Salish sea. Great place to take a picnic lunch and watch the surfers and maybe see a whale.

Want to go for a quick walk or bike ride? Just around the corner from our guest home is the Olympic Discovery trail. The trail goes all the way to Port Townsend or out to the coast and is a mostly paved trail through the forest.
