Great beaches, coffee and shopping Byron’s foodie scene is more alive than ever with quality local produce, house made kombucha, coffee options most don’t understand and a huge variety in choice all considered standard issue. The locals all have their choice haunts and digging out a few of these gems will not leave you dissatisfied. ‘Top Shop’, serves delicious freshly roasted coffee, the best damn muffins you have ever laid your hands on and a selection of quality sandwiches, burgers and baked treats. The ‘Roadhouse’ has a hand crafted drinks list worthy of a small trophy and great, clean, honest home cooking. The hustle and Bustle of ‘Bay leaf’ is well worth the scramble for some brekky greens, a matcha tea or some Ecuadorian cold drip. ‘Main Street’ serves up delicious Organic burgers and hand crafted U.S style sodas and ‘O Sushi’ will sort any cravings for some Crispy Soft Shelled Crab, Sashimi or the classic Rainbow roll If you feel like splashing out on a nice bottle and some innovative cuisine both The Italian at the Pacific and St Emlo’s hit the mark. St Elmo’s Patatas bravas, Spanish cured meats and enticing cocktail list are hard to look past and the Lamb Shank lasagne and Tiramisu for 2 at The Italian are somewhat a Byron staple. Barrio at Habitat in the Industrial Estate is a great concept serving Argentinian inspired BBQ which is delicious and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.
