Here are some highlights: 43 pristine alpine lakes, endless summer huckleberries, and hundreds of miles of roads and trails to explore. It’s bigger than you can imagine ( we’re serious, be careful).

You can drive right up to this high mountain lake- one of over 50 in our county! Cliff lake is 3/4 mile hike above Diamond.

This is a 6 mile round trip moderate hike.
You drive up to the trail head and about 1/2 mile in there is a lovely waterfall- if you have little kids I recommend hiking here and turning back.
There is plenty of parking and a camp ground bathroom.

Why would we recommend a glorified convenience store? We think that a convenience store with delicious burgers, thousands of Montana made souvenirs, a huge trout aquarium and the honest-to-goodness best huckleberry milkshakes on earth has earned its respect.
