The boardwalk is a FREE wheelchair-friendly trail. Benches for rest and contemplation are provided at least every 200 feet. It is a excellent stop for photo buffs and family learning. Just a short distance to the Bangor Target and other Bangor shopping.
Boardwalk visitors encounter a series of well designed, full color signs with illustrations of common species of bog plants and animals. The bog walk is maintained by the university of Maine. More information can be found online. Look up Orno Bog Walk for links to the university of Maine’s information site.
