We do have a couple of parking spots BUT they must be reserved in advance and it is on a first come first serve basis. Minimum daily fee is applicable. Riverfront streetcar is 1 block, bicycle rentals are 1 block away, streetcars will take your through the Garden District and Central Business District. Ubers and taxis are plentiful. Your choices are many. Enjoy the walk ability of the City!

Take a free ride on the Canal Street Ferry!, Have Cafe au Lait and Beignets at Cafe du Monde, Have weekend brunch at a variety of top restaurants, enjoy a libation at Pat O’Briens, take a carriage ride through the French Quarter, visit the Voodoo Museum or enjoy a ghost tour! The options are endless

The Big Easy says it all. For the most part, dress is casual during the day, Smart Casual at night. Only a few of the most elite restaurants require jackets for men (check with the maitre d’ before arrival). Also, its a custom in New Orleans to walk through the streets with a “go cup”. So if you haven’t finished your drink ask for a go cup. Our music and laid back lifestyle is reflected in our music and our food. We live to eat! So don’t be surprised if every time you are eating one meal, we are talking about another.

Pack a sweater as we love our air conditioning! So if you are not used to it, you may want to take to restaurants. An umbrella is a good idea especially in the Spring time where we have our sundown showers for brief periods. We are a tropical climate!

Have a BIG lunch at a Great Restaurant; usually same menu just smaller prices. During August and September, we have almost 100 restaurants offering huge discounts, it’s called Coolinary. Take the FREE Canal Street ferry across the River rather than a Riverboat cruise. The streetcar is an excellent way to see the Garden District or take the Hop on Hop off tour.

City Park is a treasure trove of activities year round. It has the Children’s Museum, a train, merry go round and other rides, the New Orleans Museum of Art and during Halloween and Christmas there are a lot of great decorations and activities. Don’t forget River Cruise, Swamp Tour, Audubon Zoo, Aquarium and Insectarium plus many other museums including World War II Museum. Extend your stay!
