Fabulous breakfast and great coffee. A short but very good breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Just a short walk from here. Head out to the alley and turn right, then left on Ronald and right on South Ave. Go to the lights and you can see Cambie on your left. There is usually plenty of room inside. On a nice day you can sit on the small patio downstairs, or they have a lovely deck upstairs.

Classic breakfast place with slightly surly service from the waitstaff who’ve been there for years. Paul’s Pancake Parlor is the in the Tremper’s Shopping Center off of Brooks, directly west of us by 1 mile. Head out to the alley and turn right, then left on Ronald and right on South Ave, and keep going for 1 mile. You will be able to see Paul’s across Brooks. It gets pretty busy on a weekend.

Fabulous thai food. Zoo Thai does not take reservations, and it can get busy.
Be careful ordering: they have a 5-star rating for how hot the dishes are. Beyond 3-stars is VERY HOT INDEED.

A new bistro over in the Sawmill District. Excellent food and service. This is a very small place, and it gets full quickly. A reservation is a must.
