More than 130 years ago two men began a years' long adventure to discover, climb and map Skye's famous Black Cuillin.
The range of mountains forms one of the world's best-known landscapes.
It also poses some of the toughest climbing challenges in Britain with its narrow ridges, pinnacles and rock buttresses - huge blocks of rock that jut out from the mountains.

Beautiful beach half an walk from a very small car park, parking be very hard to find in the height of the season, walk is fairly easy and flat and the beaches and beautiful waters clear a must visit.

The Bealach na Bà is just one feature on this road, being its highest point and site of several corries. The historic mountain pass was built in 1822 and is engineered similarly to roads through the great mountain passes in the Alps, with very tight hairpin bends that switch back and forth up the hillside and gradients that approach 20%. It has the steepest ascent of any road climb in the UK, rising from sea level at Applecross to 626 metres (2,054 ft), and is the third highest road in Scotland.

The Quiraing (Scottish Gaelic: A' Chuith-Raing) is a landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the northernmost summit of the Trotternish on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. The whole of the Trotternish Ridge escarpment was formed by a great series of landslips; the Quiraing is the only part of the slip still moving it’s the largest moving land slip in the UK – the road at its base, near Flodigarry, requires repairs each year.
